I've been doing up Pathfinder stats for this. Rather than convert over the Hordes of the Abyss nabassu, I decided to try and use the growth point rules in PF to create the creature. I aimed for CR 15. Since the base was CR 8, that means 10 growth points to bring it to CR 13, then an assumption of success on the caster level check to bring them to the Abyss with the advanced and giant templates. Check it out.

Consume Life (Su) When a nabasu creates a ghoul with its gaze attack, it gains a growth point. It gains a bonus equal to its growth point total on attack rolls, CMB rolls, saving throws, caster level checks, and skill checks. Its maximum hit points increase by 10 for each growth point, and its caster level for spell-like abilities increases by 1. For every 2 growth points, its natural armor bonus, SR, and CR increase by 1. Every time it gains a growth point it makes a DC 30 caster level check—success indicates it matures (gaining both the advanced and the giant simple templates) and plane shifts to the Abyss in a burst of smoke. A nabasu can have a maximum of 20 growth points—it automatically matures if it has not done so already when it reaches 20 growth points.
Death-Stealing Gaze (Su) As a free action 10/day, a mature nabasu can activate its death-stealing gaze for a full round. All living creatures within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 25 Fortitude save or gain a negative level. A humanoid slain in this manner immediately transforms into a ghoul under the nabasu's control. A nabasu's gaze can only create one ghoul per round—if multiple humans perish from the gaze in a round, the nabasu picks which human becomes a ghoul. The save DC is Charisma-based.

First, let me say that I am unfamiliar with Improving Monsters in Pathfinder, so this is meant to educate me more than a critique. Here are a couple of questions about possible discrepancies with your Improved nabassu.
AC 32, touch 15, flat-footed 27, combat 45
(+4 Dex, +1 dodge, +17 natural)
-1 Size?
hp 239 (9d10 + 90);
Needs more HD or fewer HP?
Melee bite +28
Base Atk +9;
Abilities Str 30
+9 BAB, +10 Str, -1 Size = +18 Melee; Something is off here, related to HD as above?
| Kain Darkwind |
Hey guys.
There isn't a typo on the HD.
As you can see, when they gain growth points, they gain a bonus to HP and attack and AC and what not that doesn't directly translate to additional HD. So with 10 growth points, the nabasu has a +10 'growth' bonus to its attacks and CMB, as well as +100 maximum hp.
Good catch on the size AC though.
| Kain Darkwind |
Hey, no worries, I'm used to building with HD myself. Here's an updated version. I've corrected the AC, and added the bonus hp from the growth points in, separate from the bonus hp from Con.
I'm actually not sure if mature nabasus would have 'consume life' anymore, but I left it in just to explain what the effects of 10 growth points are.

Apparently yes...
… there is a nabasu demon that has been advanced to CR 17 through its growth points. You might want to have a look at it if you have access to this module.

Just a point of technicality here, but
The nabasu gets a DC 30 check each time it gains a growth point. The statblock here assumes that it made that check at 10 growth points (it needs a 12 on d20) and matured.

Ah, yes, you're right, that's what I get for checking the stat blocks a little too quickly (and forgetting about what happens when the nabasu matures). ;)
Your stat block looks okay. Two things I've noticed, and I apologize in advance if it's because I missed something: I'm left wondering why the Cha is not 23 (19 +4 from advanced), not that it matters; and shouldn't the natural armor be +18 from +8 nabasu, +3 giant, +2 advanced, +5 growth?

The Charisma is messed up because my word doc copy of the nabasu is messed up. Thank you for pointing that one out.
The AC is messed up because I was thinking Medium to Large advancement increases natural armor by 2, rather than Giant Template which increases it by 3. Thank you again for pointing that out. Corrected version follows.
