Competency Item?

Rules Questions

I'm new to Pathfinder. In D&D 3.5 you could make magic items with a competency bonus. Can do you the same thing in Pathfinder, and how much does it cost?

Yes, it's a competence bonus and what do you want it to apply to?

I am primarily interested in Intimidate, but all skills intrigue me. Where do I find the official rulings for how much these cost?

Dark Archive

I don't know if there's an official rule for this, but I believe we came up with a house rule saying:

Bonus squared x 50 or x100*

*depends on the skill and highly DM Fiat based.

You can find it at page 550, table 15-29.

Or here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items#TOC-Magic-Item-Gold-Piece-Values

The price for competence bonusses to skills is: bonus-squared * 100 gp
