Black Crusade, the rpg line. Instead of playing inquisitors, rogue traders, or a deathwatch kill team, you are now on the side of Chaos fighting the good fight against the corpse emperor and his endless hordes of piddly mislead humans.
I really didn't see this coming until I saw the announcement on Fantasy Flights. Interesting.

I want. I also want an Eldar RPG. I really enjoy the 40k rpg lines.
I agree...though more of a Exnoes RPG would be better...but who know they might come out with the Eldar RPg...the Taur RPG...the Ork RPG(I know people who would go though 7 copies of that one just by reading it...).
But it is a very interesting turen to take it...I was not thrilled with Deathwatch...maybe this might be more interesting.

I find the idea of playing a space marine rather limiting. With RT and DH you could have a tone of different kinds of adventure...and not have to deal with a rigid military structure. For the most part.
To with DW it seems the characters were very similiar....there is really only combat missions...and you have to deal with a rigid military command structure.
Currently my group is on hiatus from the normal DH game and we are trying out DW...and admittly I never really got into the whole mini wargaming thing...so I might be just missing something. Or it is a matter of taste.
Though a interesting idea I and a couple of my friends have been kicking around is combining all three games in to campaign. Where everybody has three characters( 1 from each game) and depending on what adventure is..or what part of the adventure determines who you play. For instance just off the top of my head...The inquistors PCs are sent into to investigate something...find out it is big and calls in the Deathwatch at which point the PC switch to their DW characters...

My friend, the FLGS owner, wanted to run all three systems and have all three campaigns tie together from time to time with recurring villains and events, but alas, he only got the Deathwatch game going.

Do all FLGA owners think the same? The idea orginaly came from my friend who is a FLGS owner. Though it was something more to do with that group than anything though the store.
I think also a lot of the interest in DW stems from the fact with squad mode abilities it appeals more to the Warhammer 40K players...that is why I think you see more interest in DW than the other two.

I am probably the exception to that theory of DW over DH or RT. I do not play WH40k, but really would like to run a DW game. Years ago, ran a very mission oriented Leading Edge ALIENS game. ( at least I think the game company was called leading edge, they also did Living Steel)
I like mission group games as interludes between RP campaigns and they can be easily made for a quick 3-6 weeks of play. Most of my group is very unaware of WH40k background and I think a DH game would be a tad harder to start. ( though I began many notes when DH came out) RT has never interested me at all. *shrugs*
I love the background story of the empire of mankind. Sad and yet there is a thread of hope for ...someday...

I'd really love if they updated the Confrontation/Necromunda setting with the new line of Warhammer 40K RPGs. The more intimate frame of the Underhive fighter gang and its (potentially) wide arrays of roles within such a gang of scavenger/fighters would translate really well as a RPG.
Years ago, we had loads of fun with such a game using 1st edition Warhammer fantasy roleplay for rule-frame.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Rogue Trader would be the main game with the other two supplementing it as I thought the campaign needed. I would probably use DW the least of the three unless the group really enjoyed those portions of the game.
I picked up RT last Gen Con after reading about it on another message board. I am drawn to it because it appears to pick up where most DnD campaigns end. I like the idea of the PCs being responsible for thousands of crew members, the scale and scope of the game is very appealing.
I am still a long way from running the game. We take turns with campaigns in our home games so I am about a year or so from running the game. I need to do some more reading on the 40K universe! So far I have read the Eisenhorn books along with some of the RT core book. I have no other knowledge of the world so my work is cut out for me!
