Can Spell Expertise and Spell Perfection work together?

Rules Questions

Can I apply Spell Perfection to the spell I've chose for my Major Spell Expertise feat? I suppose what I'm asking is can Spell Perfection work with spelllike abilities?

Spell Perfection

Benefit: Pick one spell which you have the ability to cast. Whenever you cast that spell you may apply any one metamagic feat you have to that spell without affecting its level or casting time, as long as the total modified level of the spell does not use a spell slot above 9th level. In addition, if you have other feats which allow you to apply a set numerical bonus to any aspect of this spell (such as Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, Weapon Focus [ray], and so on), double the bonus granted by that feat when applied to this spell.

Major Spell Expertise

Benefit: Choose one spell that you know of 5th level or lower. You may cast that spell twice per day as a spelllike ability. The caster level for this spell-like ability is equal to your caster level in the class from whose spell list the spell is taken. The spell-like ability’s save DC is Charisma-based. If the spell has an expensive focus or material component, it may not be chosen for this feat. You cannot apply metamagic feats to this spell.

Major Spell Expertise states "...You cannot apply metamagic feats to this spell."

If you apply spell perfection you would not get a metamagic feat added to it, but you woudl get the doubling of spell focus, spell penetration, weapon focus [ray], etc.
