My DM wants to run and epic game going from levels 1-40, possibly even further.
i want to make a full orc Mounted Fury Barbarian/Druid with a Arsinoitherium animal companion, eventually, using it as a mount.
im not quite sure what feats to take, other than the obvious mounted combat/spirited charge and nature spell.
i want this character to be perfect, or near to it, because i'll be playing it for so long.
if you could suggest where to put my points (25 point buy) and what feats
i should take and when, that would be awesome.

The reality is that you're going to need a viable character at every step of the way, so trying to plan for what you're going to look like at 40th level is cool, but probably not all that relevant.
But in terms of general goals, that makes sense - can't help you much with the specifics, however - though I will say that whatever you plan out now will probably change over the next few years as additional source materials come out, so I would merely:
- Avoid taking things that prevent your goal.
- Plan out no more than 10 levels or so in detail.
For the rest, take it as it goes. I can guarantee that none of the characters in my campaign (except maybe the straight wizard) would have predicted they'd be where they are now. And they're all in the 53-62 level range, after starting at 6th-level.

Just out of curiosity gbonehead, How many years of gaming did it take you to get your characters to 53-62 level?
I have only once DM'ed a game from levels 1-20. It took three years, and we met every other week for an afternoon/evening. We did it in two campaigns in the first campaign the characters grew from from first level to tenth level. Then we stared a new campaign used the same characters and went from levels 10-20. We gamed from 200-2003. It fit very nicely into the time wedge 3.0 D&D was out. When 3.5 came around we were ready to start a new campaign.
Over the years most of the campaigns tended to come to a natural end around 12 level. Occasionally we got to 15 level. Although i own the Epic level handbook, i have never had the opportunity to use it.
What sort of things do you run into 15-20 level? 20-30 level?
Im just curious thanks

Be aware that Pathfinder doesn´t currently support play beyond level 20. So, beyond that level, not much adive can be had.
Character Stats: A Barbarian needs Strength and Constitution, a Druid Wisdom and a little Charisma. Int and Dex are not that important to that type of character, although Int is important for Skills.
Feats is much more difficult, as this depends upon the type of character you want to play. You should perhaps think about what you want there and post these thoughts here, so we can be more helpful.

We decided in 2006 we wanted to run an epic campaign, and started with 6th-level characters in the fall of that year. So it's taken about 4 1/2 years to get to that point. Up through 2008 we played every Friday, but in late 2008 we switched to every other Friday so that I could keep up.
One important point about the whole thing: it's not all about the battles. They're currently on a quest where one of the PCs has to follow the path of his ancestors.
They ran into three pretty easy encounters before we called it at the sacrificial monolith; the first encounter was a pseudonatural carnivorous blob (bestiary 2, epic level handbook) but that was only CR23, really just a speed bump.
Next up was two shoggoths (one from Call of Cthulhu d20, 30 HD, CR21 and one from Pathfinder, 63 HD, CR 30) and a pack of 12 hounds of Tindalos, each CR 12.
Both encounters were way below their capabilities, and just hints of things to come when they reached their goal.
The final encounter they realized two groups were ahead of them, one a group of three cyclopes (2 x 22HD cyclops/barbarian 8, CR 16 and a cyclops ur-priest (22 HD/cleric 8/ur-priest 10, CR 18) spying on a larger patrol of 13 cyclopes. The third encounter was meant to educate them that there were multiple cyclopes tribes in the mountains, and the ur-priest gated in a gibbering orb (ELH, CR 27).
Still a cake-walk encounter, though one of them got stuck with an Otto's irresistable dance since there's no save in 3.5.
The real encounter will come when they try to rescue the sacrifices and realize that they're about to deal with two baby mu spores (CR 21 and CR 31) and a great big mama mu spore (not built yet, CR will be about 60), along with some nasty denizens of Leng who are working to create a rift to the Far Realms.
That one still probably won't be too bad, since the mu spores aren't spell casters, but the denizens of Leng will cause them some pain.

Not entirely true. See pages 406-407 of the core rulebook.
