Help me build a huge summoner

I am getting ready to start in a high-level game that should carry into the early epics.

I've decided to create an 18th-level summoner who, via the greater aspect class ability, is huge size. I want advice on how to optimize such a thing along with the eidolon for combat (using 25-pt buy).

Please don't lecture me about all the drawbacks like not being able to fit in the caves, go on sea ships, etc. I'm aware of such fairly major drawbacks. If you want to help me find workarounds for such problems, though, that's fine.

Man huge?!? You aren't going to be able to fit in caves, go on sea ships, and other great things smaller people get to do.

Anyway. Greater aspect gives you 6 points to work with. Now huge costs 10 I think, so I have doubts that you will be able to stomp around as a huge dude unless you are also counting enlarge person in which case, you are a huge dude.

Before we optimize though you need to decide what kind of eidolon/summoner duo you want to be.

Likely a biped eidolon is better than a quadruped at that level as the weak will save for your 14 hd eidolon will a nigh unrecoverable weakness.

For your summoner, he can be a relatively good stealth character with the +8 racial bonus evolution. You can drop special spell resistance on your self.

You can be a mounted summoner with pounce and spirited charge(this requires a quadruped eidolon).

If you are prepping for making maximum effect out of twin eidolon at 20th level you will want to pick up multi-weapon fighting likely.

So you will probably need to figure out some things first. Like will you be going with an all natural attack eidolon or a multi-weapon eidolon.

Darn it! You're right!

I read it as 4 for large, increased TO 6 for huge, not 4 for large, 6 MORE for huge.

DARNDARNDARNIT!

18th lvl biped eidolon build. Reach monster.
Str= 16+2lvls+7 bonus+16huge=45
Dex= 12+1lvls+7 bonus-4 huge=16
con= 13+8huge=21
Int=7+6enhancement=13
Wis=10
Cha=11
chance to hit=14bab+17str mod-2 size=29+possible enhancement bonuses.
claw damage=3d6(huge),4d6(gargantuan),8d6 (gargantuan+strongjaw)
Evolution pool=23(27 if you are a half elf plz be a half elf)
Free stuff first-Limbs: arms and legs, claw on legs.
Non-free evolutions- 2x limbs:arms(4pts),2x claws on arms(2 pts),huge(10 pts),imp damage claws(1pt),rend(2pts),imp natural armor(2x), push(claws), reach(fauchard)
Feats(7)=multiattack(free),EWP:fauchard,combat reflexes, improved natural attack(claws),combat expertise,imp trip,greater trip.

Note: I am not entirely happy with the greater trip feat path I picked. But I was having trouble trying to find ways to increase the effectiveness of the eidolon's reach weapon AoOs. The 13 int req makes this a possible throwaway part of the build. What I like, is the 35ft(45 if gargantuan) reach. More efforts to exploit this may be necessary. Also, your summoner is more likely to benefit from greater shield ally when the eidolon has 35-45ft reach.

Options, one could drop the the fauchard and stick to claws. You will have 20ft reach with claws. Claws can hit and push. Not sure if push stops a charge since their movement would be interrupted. If you drop the fauchard, you can swap in perfect flight. Not a bad option.

Nice parts of this eidolon build. All the claw attacks are primary. So they are all at full attack bonus and obtain full str mod to damage.

If you want I could think up a pretty insane multiweapon fighting build but that may be too cheesy.

Ha! Greater Aspect/Aspect/Large & Huge evolutions has me thinking of Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox. How long before someone tries to couple those with Enlarge Person, though? Scary. O_o

I'm a prophet ;3

Maybe a Goliath or Half-Giant summoner, if Powerful Build is allowed? You won't be Huge, but you'll be hiyoooge.

Also, if this thing is going into epic levels, you may want to have your dm fix the eidolon alittle bit. What appears to be a 3/4 HD progression really becomes noticeably bad as you get into the later levels. A simple solution is to just push an eidolon to 3/4 bab progression and then give him 1 hd/lvl. Because, a weak save of +5 is too huge a handicap and the hp difference is also bothersome.
