Snow! We have about 3 inches so far with an all-day fall forecast. Maybe 8". Maybe 12". Who knows? Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm tempted to go roll in the drifts with our snow-loving boy dog.
Thanks Freehold! You may have missed Texas, but those of us in snow-loving Colorado thank you. You should move out here. I see snow on the mountaintops most days, and you can drive up to the top of Mt. Evans anytime in the summer for your dose of really cold weather.
Come... join us...
We have cookies. (and awesome microbreweries)

Woohoo! You lucky dog! Watch out for those Aggies though! They're kind of crazy! And not the good kind!
:)
My sister is working on her doctorate at A&M. She's a smart Aggie.
When is Katie due?

My parents drive in yesterday. They're staying with my older brother, but we should see them sometime today. Wondering how my father will react to all the grand kids. His memory problems have gotten a lot worse.
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's memory. My Dad is struggling too, but he's 88. We need to modify his will tomorrow.
I hope everything goes very well family and holiday wise.

we had invited an Uncle&Aunt of me for dinner, they called and said he is ill, but the deer was already unfrozen and the dough for the bread dumblings (Serviettenknödel) already made,
so we invited my mum and her husband instead, they definitly deserve a good dinner, they will help a lot with the preparing of the flat for Sabines Mum and Grandma and are always there for us anyway

nothing more manly than a man watching cartoons with his daughter.

You got Indigo Ice for Cerulean Seas or has Mike wrote his own ice-related product?

I disagree.
Eating your own venison burgers, from a deer you killed, butchered, then cooked, while drinking a beer you brewed yourself, using hops you grew yourself. All while watching football or a John Wayne movie marathon.

Yeah, it sucks. My dad's problems are caused by:
Aphasia is a disturbance of the comprehension and formulation of language caused by dysfunction in specific brain regions. This class of language disorder ranges from having difficulty remembering words to losing the ability to speak, read, or write. This also affects visual language such as sign language. Aphasia is usually linked to brain damage, most commonly caused by stroke.
My dad had two mild strokes that caused it. His has also resulted in lots of forgetfulness. For example, he's not fully aware of who my brother's and I are.

Dad had a very small stroke, but it had no cognitive impact. He is in very rough shape physically, but he is still pretty sharp mentally. Basically, no man on Dad's side of the family has lived past 60 for as long as anyone can remember, and we are all pleasantly surprised that Dad and his brother have lived into their 80's.
Yay science!

That is pretty awesome, but I really enjoyed teaching my daughter weapon and vehicle maintenance and use. The scariest part for me was teaching her how to drive.
That and most of her early boyfriend choices. I love my son in law sooo much!

He is smart, dedicated, loving and he works hard to provide for my daughter and grand kids.
He's also a good DM.
He is light years better than her early choices.

- What about real men?
- Oh, dad, don't be so old fashioned. I am strong women capable of supporting myself and need no man. Men are only a problem, they are lazy, smelly, they want me to make laundry for them, clean up after them. With this I am happy having all the benefits of having husband and no disadvantages.
Unconvinced father looks at her and says: Ok, if it works for you.
The next day she returns from work and sees her father sitting on one side of table with a glass of alcohol with her vibrator lying on the other side of the table submerged in another glass of alcohol.
- Dad? What are you doing?
- It's simple honey, I am spending time having a drink with my son-in-law.
