Okay. So as many of you know, I'm a brony. My wife is disturbed by this. Here is an exchange that happened this morning.

Me- (while watching a bump for Strawberry Shortcake): Okay sweetie, now THIS is too cute. This is something I wouldn't be able to watch on a regular basis.
Mrs. Andromeda Freehold- Oh please. It's just a matter of where you get your vomitous cuteness from, ponies or, or...FRUIT CHILDREN!!!
Me- Hey, I can always eat the fruit children.
Mrs. Andromeda Freehold- silent pause followed by laughter That's just sick!
Me- Say, I could use the ponies to ride down any escaping fruit children. This is great!
Mrs. Andromeda Freehold- *scoff*
Me- Hey, I have a mode of transportation and emergency food! Did I mention the ponies can talk to me and provide companionship? Friendship really IS magic!!!

The ONE DAY I don't want it to snow...*sigh* Not sure how I'm going to get our new living room set from Queens into Brooklyn.

Y'know this is why so many of us down here drive pickem'up trucks, right?

I know when snow hit South Carolina that one time, my friend called me several times FREAKING. OUT.

While handling the roads would be tricky, the furniture would be ruined in this weather- the stuff is made out of velour or something.

The last time it snowed I loaded the kids up and went to the mall.... where I proceeded to put it in 4x4 and tear up the big grassy area in front of said mall. >:)

Yeah I know..... that was redneck. Fun, but redneck. :P

Hi Patrick,

is snow unusual where you live?

we had pretty heavy snowfall on our way back from the alps yesterday, driving was not fun :-(

The Alps... *sigh* I want to visit =( I can just see Hannibal leading his elephants over those narrow passes ....

As for snow, here it depends on the year. This year has been relatively mild, but we are expecting about 6" today (18 cm?). I just dont want to deal with it, and I just discovered my fuel oil dropped low. So that's a $500 bill out of my pocket =(

Moorluck, positive wishes sent to your friend through the aether! Hope all goes well for him!!

Good morning.

I, too, don't like snow on the roads, friendship IS magic, I am sorry about your friend, Moorluck, and I think that picture, BT, is of Shelyn or one of the other good female gods from early on, like maybe the first Golarion gazeteer and finally, CC, TotalCon! TotalCon!

Tonight, my Carrion Crown party will make the dangerous trek from Ravengro to Lepidstadt--with a stopover in a friendly little community called Clover's Crossing! [Evil laughter]

I used to like it, before I had to shovel it, and when it excused me from school =( Now it is just a freakin' back-killing pain....

Will do.

I found out last night that 2 different bros-in-law had surgeries this week. They both got thru OK, but what's up with the secrets?

When was the stroke discovered? If early enough, there is an excellent chance of recovery.

He had one back in July that he discounted as a bout of heat stroke and ignored. And then Thursday night his wife took him to the hospital where he suffered a mini stroke. As they were discharging him last night it happened again.

Also, something weird, it seems any time he stands his blood pressure plummets and he loses control of his mental and physical capabilities.
I have talked with him, he is scared, he doesn't remember any thing that happened for the 15 minutes that followed him standing up.
The docs are now checking for something called Ortho Static?

It really sucks. They are some of the most decent people I have ever met. They will give you this shirt off their backs. When I was having difficulties with my ulcers they would bring me meds, one time when it was like 1am. I hate that they are going through something so uncertain and scary, and I just wish I could do something to help.

And here it is annotated so everyone can figure out who is who. (Works under Firefox and Opera, not sure about Chrome or Safari)

Hopefully everyone has the correct name.

Me, I just love that we stiffed Mac with the bill!!

Unfortunately strokes are outside of my field of knowledge. I know how to catch the earliest signs and how to do some tests, but aside from that I don't know much. I'm working with someone who has recovered from a few strokes now, I may learn more from him.
