No idea why this took so long.

Colors will be purple(for paizo), orange and black(for halloween).

You guys will be some gaudy robots.

If there is an Urbanmech, I would like to call dibs. I've always loved that stupid, useless, piece of s*+$.

Noted.

I have also gotten more kills with the Suburbanmech and MRM 30/RL variant than anything else.

Loved the Urbie as a part of a rear echelon mech killing force in Mechcommander 2. A pair of them with heavy autocannons or Gauss Rifles slowly making their way through the battlefield, killing anyone who survived the initial onslaught.

See, making them good also makes them less lovable, in my opinion. I fell for the old trashcan on legs, barely faster than a man on foot, junkpile with an autocannon (class 10, I think) and a small laser. I loved it because it was dumb.

You're only supposed to think they are stupid. They are astonishingly effective weapons platforms, can't take a punch but my god they can take out anything that has already been damaged, especially if they are in an urban environment and have ultra autocannons.

What a coincidence. I live in an urban environment and have an ultra autocannon.

This is the first election cycle with early voting for New York - they were a holdout and only enacted it into law in January 2019.

The lines have been long. I think they underestimated how popular the option would be. I waited in line over an hour. In some areas, the wait was much longer, especially on the first weekend.

Everything was orderly, and people were masked, but it’s obvious they are going to need more early voting poll sites next time.

I'll be completely honest I don't trust early voting so we'll be voting on election day.

I get around that concern by voting at the city clerk's* office. They hand me the ballot, I mark it**, I hand it back to them. If it's in their hands, it's going to be counted.

No intervening postal service, no off-site ballot drop boxes. And I can do it any time they are open during the four weeks before election day.

*or township clerk, or village clerk. Whatever office is running the election.

**so many people do this that there are voting booths set up in the hallway, just like the polling places.

Yep, that's exactly how it was for me as well.

Second lockdown tiiime!

British (EDIT: English, really) politics, so presumably neither controversial nor interesting:
Basically, the same as it is at the moment, except that pubs that don't serve food and 'non-essential' shops have to close, although nobody is quite sure exactly what they can and can't do, and what will happen if they do or don't do whatever they're supposed to be doing or not doing. This is presumably just Boris playing six-dimensional chess or something, and not the actions of a man who is not very good at anything much except filling the pockets of his pals/mistresses/people he wants to keep quiet (not mutually exclusive categories) with healthy amounts of public funds. Either that, or he's too worried about having to survive on £150,000 per year (that is A LOT OF MONEY, but he doesn't seem to think so) to pay attention to being Prime Minister.

In perusing the Careers section of Paizo.com, I noticed this new one

Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a high level of competence
Must have the physical ability to move/lift 50 pounds and the ability to stand for extended periods of time
Must have a moderate understanding of basic computer skills
Must be methodical and have a high attention to detail
Must be able to work in a team-centered environment, yet be able to finish tasks on your own
Must have good organizational skills, ability to manage time effectively
Must be able to multi-task and get up to date in a rapidly growing and changing entrepreneurial environment
Must have ability to keep confidential information secret
Must be self-motivated; Willingness to work hard and do whatever it takes to succeed in the job

I'd love to know the story behind that one. It's not usually one I see in warehouse floor positions.

They almost certainly have access to customer data, possibly including credit card info (and if not, they are quite likely to be able to gain access to the later anyway with just a few Deception/Stealth checks).

They had a problem a few years ago where a warehouse employee leaked a book before Paizo announced it's release.

The Curse of the Crimson Throne hardcover I believe.

Or pretty much the entirety of the origin movie.

Scarab Sages

Freehold, have I horribly killed more people yet?

I played a bit of Days Gone yesterday, I fought off a giant zombie for some antibiotics for Boozer's infected arm.

I threw a pipe bomb, a few molotov cocktails, unloaded a .50 caliber machine gun into it and ended the fight by chopping it's arm off with an axe and then shivving it in the neck as it tried tossing me around.

This is why I love Days Gone.

One of my bards needs an "Inspire Courage" song.

I'm thinking that someone amongst you will know an appropriate song to link me to.

She's 16, an actress, and full of teenage enthusiasm and bravado. I need a catch phrase from the lyrics that she can shout/sing during encounters. Brash, hubristic, and sometimes sarcastic, but intense and idealistic.

Anyone got ideas?

Shakira's "Try Everything" from Zootopia?

I mean, she could randomly just sing "Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... Try everything!"

Unfortunately no. I have upgraded you with an XL engine so you can fit more stuff on you. I need to do the same with lisamarlene desperately as she is too dainty to risk in a straight up fight and I do not have the fire support mechs needed to make her work in that way. Hopefully I get some fire support soon but for now I have Sharoth. Hi Sharoth!

Billy Joel's Captain Jack.

doesn't mention or advocate a specific party, but...:

So WW went out today, at the request of our local party leadership, to knock on doors of houses registered as being occupied by a member of the party, to heartily encourage them to go vote and let them know about options available to them if they lack transportation, don't know their polling location, etc.

A significant percentage of the addresses on his list were incorrect.
A few were polite (or at least politely sardonic, an art form here in Texas), a few offered curses and invective, and only one homeowner actually threatened to "shoot him in the face" if he didn't get off her property. He apologized for bothering them and asked them all to please go vote anyway.

I was very, very glad that he hadn't let Val or Hermione accompany him.

Meanwhile, we've been working our way through season 12 of Doctor Who, and we just saw the episode with the Judoon, Captain Jack, and the "How could you be one of my past incarnations if I don't remember you?" mystery Doctor.

Still trying to work out how I feel about it.

I mean, I've never liked the Judoon because I love rhinos and I don't much care for them being LE mercs. I *do* like Jack Harkness, but they did his makeup weird (yes, granted, he's a good bit older than he was when first introduced, and he's still supposed to look the same) and the script was a little forced. I liked Jo Martin as a past Doctor and I *loved* her suit (I mean, I wouldn't have worn the blouse, but it was right for her), but I was bothered by the cynicism of her Doctor. Although she was spot-on about the fluffity rainbowy lack of gravitas of Whittaker's Doctor.

Mostly I'm just concerned that the current showrunner doesn't have the chops to make this story arc work, and the writing this season is really uneven and not terribly well thought out.
