DVR'd Oz the Great and Powerful the other night. I've seen most of the movie, but always managed to miss the very beginning. Plus, the wife hadn't seen it yet. May try to watch it tonight.
My buddy at work is a proud poppa again. Number four for he and his wife. Dude's in like his late 20s early 30s. But he's nice people. And wife and baby are healthy. So that's awesome.
And you didn't tell me until now?!? Damn youuuuu.....!!!

All I caught was the last half hour, so I saw the fight with Sinbad and the skeleton and the epic battle between the dragon and the cyclops. Pretty cool half hour though

Highlights of the session:
-4th session in, the rogue FINALLY gets a flanking buddy... just in time for the flanking buddy to withdraw.
-Rogue sending the owlbear fleeing by hitting it on the head.
-Druid and Monk trying to "help" the paladin "bend the truth." (It's not what you say, it's what you allow them to conclude.)
-Paladin getting offended at their commentary on her lack of gambling ability.
-Monk, Druid, and Rogue commentary on Paladin's comfortable (serviceable) clothing. Apparently alterations need to be made.
-"I am not throwing myself at the orc to get information!" "Hey, it's YOUR vow of honor."
Which gave me an idea for a potentially sinister NPC for a campaign I haven't thought of yet.
Tell us about it?
A discussion of "hey that actor's done all these roles..."
Specifically, Angela Lansbury as a princess, serial killer enabler, pirate, and castle maid. Combine into one character...
"I am Angela Brigid Lansbury* of the Clan Lansbury. I was born in 1518 in the village of Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Shiel. And I am immortal." {cue Queen soundtrack}

Fun times.
Sounds like good craic. Hope you all had as fun a time as it sounds.
So, I had an argument with the kidlet's mother. I'm concerned about all the different carers she hands him off to, and that I've never had contact with any of them. I decided I wanted their names and phone numbers, so I could check in with them while she's at work, should I feel the need. She took this as an attack on her competence as a mother, and told me I had no rights and could forget getting anything out of her voluntarily. She contacted me again a few hours later, a lot more calmly, but I've had all I can take of her mood swings and unreasonableness. So, I've been to a lawyer.
Good news / Bad news situation. Good : If it reaches court, there should really be no problem with getting access and joint guardianship enforced. I have been involved, ability and willingness to care for him, lots of unsupervised visits to my home, which has plenty of room for him. Bad : She needs to be notified of proceedings two week's in advance of the court date, and if she flees during that time, there's nothing that can be done. Which is exactly what she's been threatening with any time joint guardianship has come up in the past.
So, I either keep going as is, dealing with her mood swings and lies and unreasonableness, and try to be amicable and make the best of a less than desirable situation. Or I go about trying to get my rights legally enforced, and risk losing my son altogether. Isn't life great? /s
Aaaand, positive again. What a lovely, bright sunny day here. Lots of rain in spots over the weekend, but otherwise warm and bright and humid. Still, rain plus sun equals rainbows, so that's pretty nice.
Got a boardgame night organised for tonight, should be good craic. Less of a crowd than last time, but, sure, that just opens up more boardgames. Not sure what we'll be playing yet, maybe Seven Wonders, or Pictionary, or Pandemic, or Flash Point. Something fun anyways.

I was going to read through some Pathfinder goodness last night, but as I was checking to see if a TV show recorded for me, I came across Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
Which gave me an idea for a potentially sinister NPC for a campaign I haven't thought of yet.
