And erm... that's a fitting way to introduce it, too.

So I'm staying home with the wife to give out candy to kids. In NY, any weather will be better than last year... yeah. Sobering thought. It's odd to think that Halloween was more or less cancelled.
I ATE AT BURGER KING AND SURVIVED!
Sometimes it takes as long as 48 hours for death to set in.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Halloween! Hope everyone has a great day. With any luck, I may actually get out of work on time to watch my boy do a little trick or treating at the church where he goes to daycare.
Otherwise, it's gonna be a busy day. Later people.
Car died on me on the way to work. Pressing the gas would cause the engine to rev, but not move forward (or backward, we did test reverse). Auto shop guy thinks transmission.
Thankfully we have a spare vehicle.

I ATE AT BURGER KING AND I WILL SURVIVE HALLOWEEN BY SLEEPING IT OFF!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYFAWTL!
Mmm...Pumpkin bars and coffee at work
Coworker brought pumpkin brownies and whipped topping!
Anyone dressed up for work or seen any good costumes?
I just saw medusa and someone from the geek squad from best buy
Saw a pirate and a Harley Quinn at Walmart on the way to work, but no costumes in our office, too formal.
Gavgoyle has an awesome costume.
One person on my caseload came in dressed as a clown. Gave him a big round of applause at the daily meeting.
But why would you eat at Burger King?

Had a phone interview yesterday that went well (I think). Was scheduled for another today but I woke up from second sleep with a sky-high fever. Booo. :(

I saw Alton Brown on TV for the first time yesterday, and I have to say... I agree with Freehold.

You are really trying to tempt fate...
No monsters nor spells for Yggdrasil. I am barely able to make this laptop work. If it was a bit slower I could use it to send messages back in time.

Start my first shift tomorrow morning. With that said, it's been fun. My presence with be diminished on the Paizo boards, but fear not, I shall not vanish forever.
I was at Job Center and finished application for UK's National Insurance Number, they will send it via mail in 7-10 days.
I was also at induction at work agency. They will contact me in 5 to 7 work days.
During the induction I was asked my nationality by one of the agency workers and after I told them I was asked to help explain some things to older Polish guy who couldn't understand a thing...

Anyway, hope you feel better. Did you have to reschedule the interview? Do you think they were okay with that?

You should make them pay you for the translation assistance.
I feel like I am failing at Halloween. I have every light on and the door wide open and the trick-or-treaters keep walking past my house. I think it is because the house is set so far back from the road and it has lots of doors, so people are just too confused to bother.
I've only had two groups so far.
Observation: Kids don't say "Trick or Treat" anymore.

The only reason I am home this early is because I could not get to my doctor's appointment this afternoon. The 8th Avenue subway was closed. I tried for about 45 minutes to get to Chelsea, but there was just no way to get there, so I had to reschedule.
But then I went home, so it wasn't all bad.

Ahh. I found the switch for the porch light for the door I never use and have turned it on. Now the floodgates have opened.
John had better bring more candy home with him.

I was about to suggest this- where you are, porch light etiquette is observed.
