He's nothing if not a survivor. He has survived multiple gun shot wounds, knifings, addiction, terminal disease diagnosis, having heavy construction equipment land on his head, and more than I can list here. He stepped up and played a huge support role when my wife was dieing of cancer. He certainly has his flaws, but he's the kind of friend that would truly take a bullet for you.
I hope he overcomes this as well.
Thanks guys!
Jesus, what a blow. Still, this guy sounds like he's been through a lot- maybe he can beat this as well. What caused him to be exposed to so much hard radiation though?

It's not hard radiation but a massive chemical exposure for Uncle Sam that brought him to this point. We joke that he is already undead, and he is a super patriot, but I don't see him turning into an undead Captain America.
I don't think I am allowed to discuss his exposure beyond generalities.
There are more disposable heroes than the government allows us to discuss.

Not this time. My fighter died like a b#%*%. Tried to grapple a juju zombie orc, failed, and got one-shot-killed with an earthbreaker on the zombie's initiative.

It was due to a combination of my building a non-optimized character because I wanted to do something off-kilter and interesting, and also the simple fact that if 5 3rd-level PCs go up against a CR 6 encounter, they're gonna have a bad time. Meh. Characters die in games. I'm not that bugged.

I believe I mentioned that before. Anyway, while I was in Lowe's on Sunday I took a look at some and found a possible - A Troy-Bilt, 21 inch, gas powered, with both a pull start and electric start. It was $499, so I told the wife to tell her parents if they insist on buying it that I'd cover half.
The idea of not having to break my back if it snows more than a few inches greatly appeals to me.
Oh you poor dear! Come inside right away. You just sit and rest and we'll get you something for that fever.

My group is a weird combination of semi-optimized (one who really is, two who are through luck, one who would be if his rolls cooperated, and one who flat out isn't), really lucky, tactically effective, and powered-up by using rolls rather than pointbuy. They've taken a few challenges well above their level.
I don't mind tooling things up to continue challenging them, even if it does speed up the leveling - we're halfway through Chapter 2 of Kingmaker and the party's level 8. (Though we started at 2nd - I hate starting games at level 1.)

Let's have some yé-yé girls!
France Gall - Laisse Tomber les Filles
Sheila - Papa t'es plus dans l'coup (Though, to be honest, I prefer the Ludivine Sagnier version from 8 femmes.
