Well, this job has to impress me a bit for me to take it. It's in Manhattan, and I'm going to need at least another $400-$500 (net) per month to make it worth the commute. But maybe they will indeed pay that well.
Dude, we'll be able to do lunch and hang out more and stuff!!!!

That's a euphemism for a nooner, obviously.

But tea is good for you!
Don't care. Morning is the one time you shouldn't be denied your preferred form of caffeine ingestion. I would be very, very upset if forced to take tea or coffee instead of my usual soda. I wouldn't dare do likewise to anyone else.
Mornings are bad enough even when you can get caffeine the way you want it. To take that away... no, unthinkable. Unforgivable.

Not if you are Manchester United - they need 10 more minutes injury time if they are not winning.

And if they don't get it, it's an outrage (according to Inspector Taggart, at least.)

I actually LIKE tea. I actually PREFER tea.
BUT, I am now addicted to coffee.
<Takes proffered tea gratefully, uses it to wash out the taste of his morning coffee.>
Ah, THAT'S better! Best of both worlds! :D

True, but extreme heat + soda can = fun explodey time. :P

They're having a Combined Federal Campaign kick off event down in the lobby. That's kind of this thing where the gov't gives us employees a list of charities to donate to. I never participate, preferring to donate on my own in other ways, but they've got a popcorn machine down there.
Very tempting....

![]() |

Never mind. A co-worker who had some of the popcorn said it was cheap crap.
Oh how I long for the days of old-school movie theater style popcorn. That was the stuff. Loads of salt and some butter! My highshcool had popcorn machine which made that stuff. When I first started there, they'd sell it in big bags for 25 cents.
