Despite HBO still putting plenty of programming that annoys and/or pisses me off, I love several of the series they do: GoT, True Blood, And even the occasional episode of Boardwalk Empire.
I'm convinced they're the only ones who could really do faithful adaptations of REH's Conan stories.
Hell, all of REH's stories! They could call it REH Theater!
I still want them to make Rome 2! Give me some Julio-Claudian depravity! Give me Tiberius and Caligula! It's right up HBO's alley...

But Penthouse already did Caligula.

I'm familiar. Now I'd like to see it done well ;)

Malcolm McDowell didn't do it for you? ;)

A fan club? For me? That's awesome! All I ask is that you go on and on about the glories of haterade (tm) with the occasional pose for product placement. What do you want me to do as the head of your fan club?
You can show your undying love for Joss whedon and Alton Brown in your newletter.

I stuck it right over the heater, it should be good.
Yes, I have a heater going in my office in June. I'm in a tiny room directly under a vent; if it's anything but full-out sunny, it's frigid in here by 10 AM.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Derek & Derek's first major case as private detectives hit a snag when their primary witness was deported back to Luxembourg on charges of bestiality. Meanwhile, Kirk and Kristen were suprised to learn that their home stood on what archaeologists had determined was once the site of an American Indian latrine. And, across town, Max was shocked to learn that bears did indeed.......No, wait! That's my soap opera.

don't forget to pose for product placement! Cheesecakey poses are entirely optional, but GREATLY appreciated.
What do you want me to do as the head of your fan club?
Hmm... I think any good fan club needs a newsletter, so you are hence Editor-in-Chief of the Lindisty Ledger, to be published irregularly. :)
Beyond that, I think your duties will be minimal. (I would like a brass band to follow me around playing trumpet fanfares when I enter rooms, and I would like a cabana boy, but neither of those fit the purview of Fan Club President. :))
I used to play the valve trombone, and after a few hours in the gym, I can be in cabana boy shape.you want me to shave or grow the fro? I fear that the fro may take a while, after years of shaving my head has grown shy.

Hello?

*offers Liadan a kitten* I'd offer newbie cookies but that's Lillith's schtick.
Zookeeper paladin's retired, remember?
*pets kitten, sneezes*
Characters aren't gone 'til they're dead or too old to adventure. =) They an always come back later in another campaign.

Much like a comic book character, they are never dead until they are unpopular.

Bald is beautiful, baby. (Seriously, I have a thing for bald heads-- regardless of gender. It can get me into trouble sometimes. I also have a thing for long hair on men, but that's more mainstream. :))

Sinead O'Conner.... Okay I'll give you that one. ;)

And Sigourney Weaver (in Alien 3) and Natalie Portman (in V for Vendetta)...
But beyond that, yeah, I tend to find women with shaved heads or buzz cuts to be incredibly sexy. If I were going to get all psychoanalytical about it, I'd say it's because I associate it with confidence and a willingness to step outside of social norms for feminine beauty, and both of those qualities are really appealing to me in a woman.
