Can a summoner use quicken spell like ability?

So a summoner gets summon monster as a spell like ability. By lvl 11 can he take quicken spell like ability for his summon monster ability? If so what limitations are there?

Limitation 1) Since the feat is a monster feat in a GM book, one must procure GM permission before using it (even though it is perfectly legal if you meet the prerequisites).

Limitation 2) You must first have 10th-caster level in your summoning ability (it's a prerequisite of the feat).

Limitation 3) You can only select a spell-like ability duplicating a spell with a level less than or equal to 1/2 its caster level (round down) – 4. For a summary, see the table below.

Limitation 4) You can only quicken your summon spell-like ability 3 times per day.

That's pretty much it.

Sadly, limitation #3 basically makes the feat impossible to pick up as by the time you get your CL high enough, the effective level of the duplicated spell has risen far too high to be applicable.

The only chance you have is IF the GM let's you quicken it whenever you use the summon monster 6 version (or lower spell) at higher levels.

Well, you could but you can only quicken a 1st lvl spell like ability at lvl 10 or 11 and 1 level higher every 2 levels after that.

Except for gaining some temporary flanking oppurtunities I am not sure that is worth a feat.

Thanks for the information. But the first piece of advice is sort of silly. Any major changes in a character are run by DM's anyway. But the other information was useful.

It is a weird ability because it increases in spell level as you go up. So what starts out as an ability duplicating summon monster 1 becomes an ability duplicating higher level summon monster spells as you go on.
