How am I able to place an order on a product in back-order using my existing Paizo credits and then bundle it to be included in the next monthly shipment ... and not have the back-ordered item prevent from my regular monthly shipment to go out if the product is not yet available? I can't seem to wrap my head around how to get that done effectively.
FYI: I'm trying to do that for the Psionics Unleashed book+PDF bundle utilizing my $28.65 in credits.

Urizen, you'll have an option during checkout to "Combine with earliest possible subscription shipment" which will send the print version of Psionics Unleashed to your sidecart to ship with a subscription when it gets in. The order you're placing now will automagically deduct the right ducats from your store credit so everything should be kosher.
Should your order end up treyf, then let us know and we can fix it. :)

You should see a box titled "Store Credit" beneath "Order Summary" on the checkout page. Just enter in the amount you want to use on your order. (So not so automagically. Sigh. >.> )

When I did that, the 'credit available' changed from $28.65 to $0.00.

Well...fie and stuff. You can't use store credit when combining your order with a subscription shipment. You'll have to checkout normally and use your store credit per the instructions above. Once you've checked out, I can move the backorder part of the bundle to ship with a future subscription order (I hope).

It's almost sounding like it would be easier to just pay for the product and use the store credit toward PDF-only products. :P
