This is my fighter that i use in Society. He is currently level 3 but this is my tentative build for him right now.
Dwarf Weapon Master (Dwarven Waraxe)
Fighter 7, Stalwart Defender 5
Str 17, Dex 13, Con 16, Int 13, Wis 12, Cha 5
Traits - Heirloom Weapon, Glory of Old
Fighter 1 - Dodge, Toughness
Fighter 2 - Power Attack
Fighter 3 - Weapon Focus: Dwarven Waraxe
Fighter 4 - Weapon Specialization: Dwarven Waraxe
Fighter 5 - Combat Expertise
Fighter 6 - Shield Focus
Fighter 7 - Endurance
Stalwart Defender 9 - Improved Critical: Dwarven Waraxe
Stalwart Defender 11 - Dazing Assault
Since he's a society character I don't always have a consistent group so I decided I wanted him to be able to take the hits and to be able to dish them out as well. I was thinking about switching out shield focus for improved disarm or going straight fighter. Thanks in advance

With Stalwart Defender mobiliy is your curse. I can tell you from playing one that It's not worth the trade off(IMO). I wold realy stream line your feet slection as well or go stright figther. The feets I wold drop are Combat Expertise, Dazing Assault. The feets I wold pick up Cleave, Great Cleave. The other thing I wold change is the split from 7/5 to 8/4. So You can pick up Improved Critical at level 8. And pick up Improved Bull Rush or Improved Sunder. Over all you lose one point of Ref save and 1point of DR VS. Bounes Feet.
I don't personly recomend stalwart defender. I wold go stright Fighter. and Pick up more combat manuver feets. Using only Power attack do you can lower your int. So you have a few more points in for other places in the build. Personly I only ever leave one stat with a odd number.

12 BaB + 3 str + 2 Heirloom Weapon +2 Greater Weapon Focus -2 tower shield = 17/12/7 to hit at lvl 12 doing 1d10+7 (not including any magic enhancements you may be able to get) i would say if u can get any get Corrosive, Thundering, and Vicious to be doing 1d10 + 4d6 + 7 (tho you take 1d6 yourself)
+2 (11)full plate +2 (8)tower shield = armor of 38 in Defensive Stance included +4 dodge(Dodge)and Combat Expertise +1 natural (Iron Hide)
Renewed Defense and Roused Defense (providing you only get two Defensive Powers)
And finaly take Magic Resistant This racial trait replaces the hardy racial trait. this is the most self sustaining fight you can make IMO

also add some points do dex and go reg fighter 4 the armor and weapon training's to get even better armor you can get over 40 providing you have the gold (idk what wealth is like in Society) it may lower your damage out put a bit but taking damage will be a non issue most likely with a ring of def +2 and a +2 nat armor your at 41 and if you up your dex to a +3 its 45 :D or 43 with out the Defensive Stance (if the 3 dodge bonuses stack) even if not your at 42 and when u activate Defensive stance 44 that's a tall AC to climb even for Giants :D

Adult Green Dragon CR 12
Melee bite +21 (2d8+12/19–20), 2 claws +21 (2d6+8/19–20), 2 wings +16 (1d8+4), tail slap +16 (2d6+12)
AC 31 you get hit 1/2 the time.
Lich CR 12
Melee touch +5 (1d8+5 plus paralyzing touch)
Your save from melee. :)
Purple Worm CR 12
Melee bite +25 (4d8+12/19–20 plus grab), sting +25 (2d8+12
plus poison)
AC 35 you get hit 1/2 the time.
Roper CR 12
Melee bite +20 (4d8+18/19–20)
AC 30 you get hit 1/2 the time.
Sea Serpent CR 12
Melee bite +23 (4d8+22/19–20 plus grab), tail slap +18 (3d6+6
plus grab)
AC 33 you get hit 1/2 the time.
AC for level 12 to make a difrence. Avrage around 33. High AC 38+ to be effective.

so having 44 armor would be good :D, ya your touch would be 20 if you did the dex bumps and could get the ring of deflection meaning that the lich would need a 15 to touch you and the fort save is dc 18 or be paralyzed which you would need a 7 with your stats as they are ATM
the gear i would buy IMO is +3 tower shield +3 full plate = 18000
Protection +3 18000 amulet natural armor +2 8000 the two belts 8000
+3 Defending Dwarven Waraxe at this point your at 49 armor O_O transferring your whole + 2 from your axe to your armor total gold spent 62000
so at this point a Purple Worm needs to crit to hit you that's a 1 in 20 shot

so what i did is i when and created my SUPER AC FIGHTER at level 17 hes got 60 ac with only a heavy steel shield lowest save is a 17 will and 259 hp, attacks 28/23/18/13 after the - for Combat Expertise doing 1d10 & 2d6 +18 granted you not doing lots of damage but your doing more than they can do back :D
