This was discussed briefly in another thread of mine. Instead of bumping the old thread i thought i would report it in its own thread.
I created an event #4764 for the Boise area. I have checked, rechecked and re re checked the information on the form it is all correct. yet when i search for an event in my area. it does not show up. nor does it show on the calendar of events.
I would like my event to be search-able asap. can some one help me get this fixed please.

I have seen an event I knew existed not show up in the search when the zip/post code was missing (or presumably wrong). However sounds like it is worse than that. Have you tried clearing the public event checkbox and saving and then setting it back to public again and saving. At least you don't have the problem non US folk have with the date in the wrong format.

Try filling in the number of sessions, tick some scenarios and lastly clearing the "state/country" box.

Done, done and there is no "state/country" box to clear. still not search able. Thank you for the effort. I am still open to Ideas. this event is Saturday so I am not so much interested now about fixing this specific posting, as preventing it from happening again for future event postings. Also as stated above, I am not the only one experiencing this issue when posting new events.

The country box is actually in a separate menu. Go to your event. Press "change location" in the Event Location section. You should now see a "Country" drop down menue. Make sure it is "clear" (i.e. reads "Select Country...") and press select location to confirm. That has helped me a number of times.
EDIT: make sure the latittude and longitude are entered.

Can you elaborate on the nature of the bug?
I have had similar problems a number of times, but the solutin I stated above always fixed it for me.Anything we can do ourselves to remedy tha problem without having to bug(pun not intended) you al the time?

The event dates were not being processed properly, so the events were being filtered out of search results as if they had already occurred.
It should be fixed now.
And I'd much rather hear about bugs so I can fix them rather than have people learn an elaborate system of work-arounds, so please don't worry about bugging me.
