In Store Program

Paizo General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

I happened to be reading a thread on D&D Encounters on another board and it got me to thinking: does Paizo have a Pathfinder in-store program like that. I realize there is the Society, but I was thinking something more drop in and play than a full fledged 4 hour adventure. if not, are there plans to do so in the future?

No answers at all? Weird.

Anyway, I am in talks now with the owner of my FLGS to run a bi-weekly ongoing exploration of the Dungeon-A-Day Dragon's Delve using Pathfinder.

I'm letting Hyrum (our events manager) know about this thread.

Hey Reynard,

I just saw this thread so please excuse the late answer.

Right now we have PFS as our in-store OP program but we're working on some additional plans and will announce those later in the year.

Thanks for your interest!

Hyrum.

Thanks for the response. I think that PFS is a little too structured for our area, so I am looking to do something a little more seat-of-our pants.

Basically -- and the store owner and I are working out the details now -- twice a month I am going to set up and whoever wants in will band together to explore the dungeon. I am going to keep a folder of characters as well as the Delve journal, so those that come a lot will be able to see their characters advance, while no matter how disperse the attendence the dungeon continues to get explored.

I am hoping to a) get a chance to do some old school rat bastard GMing, and b) make sure everyone out there realizes that D&D 4E isn't the only game in town anymore.

This all grew out of a conversation with the owner who was displeased with how Encounters was handled and me wanting a chance to expand my GMing.

I'll be blogging the experience, so once we are up and running I will let Paizo know how it goes. If it works out maybe it is a model you guys can promote for in-store.
