I get it. Seeking out enemies of the faith. Zealots. They work outside the faith.

What i don't get: judgements. In effect: I JUDGE YOU! YOU ARE GUILTY OF DOING SOMETHING I DISAGREE WITH! THEREFORE I GET... faster healing? energy resistance? defensive resistance? attack roll bonuses?

How do you guys explain THAT one? Wouldn't judging someone be debuff instead of a buff? What about finding someone guilty makes it so you can heal faster?

Don't get me wrong, i think it's a great class... i just think the judgements are more of a 'monster hunter' than 'defender of the faith' flavor.

...to keep fighting beyond my injuries because the power of my faith (and a little help from my deity) heals my wounds before your eyes! (fast healing)

...to walk through the fire you throw at me and strike you down, heathen! (energy resistance)

...to steel my mind and body and resist your foul poison/mind control so that I may smite you! (defensive resistance)

...to strike at your vile heart with the guidance of my deity! (attack roll bonus)

Basically, that sort of thing.

Like Drow Vampyre says. Its not about your god smiting them (debuff). Its about you passing judement and asking your god for the strength to carry it through to the end. Thus, your god empowers you to be his will on earth and strike forth with his will. You are the extension of your god's hand. Heathens do not care about your god's curse on them, but they do care about the guy smiting them with godly might.
