Cleave, Great Cleave, Full attack, & Move actions

the rules for cleave actions are clear cut and straightforward. the attacker can continue to take attacks as long as they continue to hit each foe adjacent to the next. what is not clear cut is how movement can affect the outcome of attacks and/or the number of attacks for great cleave and the full attack action. when can movement be done? before and after attacking - yes! during combat is where it can get sticky?!?!

full attack - can i take my 5 ft move at any point during my attacks to continue my attacks upon new foe/s, especially when a foe is downed, and there are no new foes to attack unless i move? ex: confined hallway filled with back-to-back creatures, or even a target rich battlefield.

great cleave - this is a standard action! this means that i have a move action available. can movement be broken into 5ft moves between waves/lines of foes to produce an advancing lawnmower effect? this could only happen, of course, as long as hits continue, and there are adjacent foes available, and i still have movement, and granted i am killing all the low level mobs to create movable space.

one can see how a barbarian and a monk, classes that have enhanced movement, can kill many creatures in one round, especially when those creatures can be felled in one blow! magic items that enhance base movement also exaggerate this effect!!

Both cleave and great cleave only function as a standard action, and thus may not be used as part of a full attack action. Once you take an attack, you may only continue to make attacks against other foes that are adjacent to the one you just hit and still within reach. You may not move as part of this attack.

You do however also have a move action in the same round so you may move independently of the attack.

I do not think you completely understand the question i posed. i understand the mechanics of the cleave. the question is: can movement be done within the attacks to continue the process?

Sorry, but no moving while using Cleave/Great Cleave. :( However, Lunge+Size Increasing Buff from friendly spellcaster+Armor Spikes+Reach weapon = much Great Cleave fun.

EDIT:
