Inspired by another thread discussing daemons and devlis I started to think about qlippoths and their role as elder and alien evil in comparison to much younger demons. Then I switched focus to other entities looking for similarities:
Old Qilippoths - Young Demons
Old Axiomites - Young Inevitables (constructed by Axiomities for war against Proteans)
Devils and Daemons are out of the picture as Devils are fallen Celestials (see below) and Daemons are all about destruction of mortal souls and thus firmly rooted in mortal eon.
Apparently there are no Elder Good entities and I somehow I think that they are hardly needed for ancient counterpart of Celestials and Elder is such blasphemous word that Elder Good sounds like oxymoron anyway (thank you Lovercraft ;) but I would like to see younger representation of chaos, different than (otherwise awesome) Proteans.
Ok, for my personal plans of GMing Planescape-like game I will probably use Slaad in this role (I like them since I saw 3rd edition Red Slaad from MMI and later for their irritating appearances in Neverwinter Nights) but as they are non-Open content I think that some new idea that could be developed and used in Pathfinder for all those who like struggles of elder versus younger. (ok, I might be a bit biased towards such topics - just finished reading "Dust Of Dreams" and cant wait for "Crippled God" and Polish translation won't be available before summer, at best).
Sooo, who has some interesting idea of newly entities of pure chaos?

Well, I'm sure it's not the kind of answer you're looking for but here's what I would probably think of....
Because "Pure Chaos" is so, um, "Chaotic," it is pretty impossible to accurately or completely "define" or "taxonome" (wtf is the verb for "taxonomy?!) the Native chaos-races.
Thus,... the term "Protean" is a misnomer "we" use to provide a general term for "all the Chaotic crap that comes from the Maelstrom."
So,... Elder Proteans and Young Proteans are different the way Qlippoth and Demons are but we just classify them as Proteans.

Maybe.
If archons become archons by being petitioners who feel a call towards to highest layer of Heaven, or hear their name being called, etc etc, and if they all began as petitioners, who precisely called to that first petitioner who became an archon?
Move one plane over and you have the Agathion/Angel tales and legends of the Dragon of Nirvana who (whatever he or she is) seems to be both incredibly incredibly old and acting as something of a very rarely witnessed but benevolvent guide to the plane's celestials.
Answer those questions as you like for your own campaign. :)

Aren't the good deities the ones responsible for the petitioner's calling? I speak about things older than deities (as it seems to be the case with Proteans, Qlippoths and Axiomites).
