I am working on a new PFS character for an upcoming convention and I may choose one of the APG classes. The Guide to Organized Play has recommendations regarding which core classes are good or challenging choices for each faction. What are your thoughts regarding the APG classes?
At the moment, I am considering an Inquisitor.

Which one would you enjoy in the long haul?

Those ratings are more regarding your faction missions I think. For example, Paladins running Cheliax faction missions may have trouble with completing some without violating their ethics code.
That said, I don't see inquisitors having any such issues with any one faction. Cavaliers may have issues depending on what order they are. Oracles, Witches, Summoners and Alchemists shouldn't have any issues.
*Disclaimer*
I could be totally wrong about the good and bad classes for each faction

Exactly, I've only played two PFS scenarios so far so I was curious how the faction missions match up with the new classes.

I think the Inquisitor class, but I'm trying to figure out what role an inquisitor would have in the society. I mostly GM, so I don't get a lot of chances to play a character. I tried a gnome sorcerer in my first two scenarios and I wasn't getting into that character. Hence the reset.

It's based around alignment and class skill choices. Inquisitors seem to match up well in those areas to a bard, so I'd just substitute it in wherever the bard was listed.

Inquisitor - I have been playing an inquisitor in society. I would like to think he is an asset. I have have provided a role as a healer and a fighter. I picked up the feats dodge and mobility, I usually try to pull AOO's.
I realize that I am not the best fighter or the best healer, but as a hybrid character it is a good option. The more I play him the more fun he is. looking forward to 3rd level and solo tactics.
I do recommend inquisitor for society play.

I also play an Inquisitor and just hit 3rd level. As well, I enjoy playing him alot. In fact more than my original character(especially now that I have a better understanding of PF's rules and OP play). They make a great hybrid character and can fit in many roles. Yes, they may not be the hardest hitter, or the best healer, but what they do bring is a well rounded character.

I have seen quite a few people play an Inquisitor and they seem to like it. I myslef play an Oracle of Stone and have been having a GREAT time playing him, I have gottn to be the party "tank" as well as "healer".

Thanks for the help.
I ended up building a human inquisitor (Gorum) from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings working with the Taldor Faction. He originally came to Taldor to serve as one of the bodyguards for Grand Prince Stavian III but has been reassigned to work within the Pathfinder Society to further Taldor's interests.
He gets his first taste of action at OwlCon this coming weekend.

My thoughts on APG classes
Alchemist - not my cup of tea.
Cavalier - I have created one recently as Order of the Star following Pharasma. I'm not sure how this will go, but I like trying and supporting APG classes.
Inquisitor - I created an Inquisitor of Asmodeus (he seems to suit Inquisitors particularly well). The inquisitor seems fun to play and ok for game balance at the low-levels where I've been playing.
Oracle - Interesting, but I haven't created one yet. Some players seem to struggle with the implication that they don't get powers from any single god. That doesn't mean you can't follow a god though. I like spontaneus casters.
Summoner - A class that surs a lot of conversation. I created one and have played him at low-level. He's Ulfen and I took battle axe proficiency to complete the concept (with a wolf/raven-like eidolon "Howlfur"). It took me a while to feel comfortable with an arcane Companion for some reason. Now I like it.
Witch - Not a class I've tried yet. An odd assortment of powers. I like the idea and will probably try one some time. Still I think I haven't tried one because I'm not quite comfatable with the class.
If I were to suggest a class to try, I'd go with Inquisitor if that is where you have a concept. Concept is as important a reason to choose a class as any other.

I recently hit level 3 and I am very happy with the class.
There are 3 class mechanics I don't like longbow and shortbow weapon profiencies. The second problem is judments per day, while this wont affect society at level 20 - 7/day is bit much.
So the last thing is the lack of class specific feats. I think paizo should consider this on their next class supplement. The feats I would like is feat gives you access to domain spells, or another domain.
For society play spell selection is critical.
First - Prot Evil - Cure Light - Exp Retreat - Burst Bonds
Solo Tactics + Society play = Win!
I worship Cayden Cailen use a rapier and have a large shield +1 with scale mail and dodge I have an ac 21. Trait + mobility gives me a AC against AOO 26 a Prot evil 28 and a judgement 29, or just plain 25.
I am thinking of taking a dip in fighter at 5th. I am hesitant about it, it will bar be from greater bane at level 12. But it will give me a feat as well as heavy armor profiency. I guess one of the things I still carry grudges about is +x bab feats. The only reason pushing for a fighter level is to fufill the BaB for spring attack, otherwise I would have to wait out 4 more levels to fufill my whirlwind feat chain. The goodies.. with the ..cookies is I will be able to pick spring attack and whirlwind as well as heavy armor. Then concentrate on survivability feats later 7+.
