Replacement Half-Elf Trait for an E6 Game- Advice Sought

Advice

The Trait: Half-Elf racial trait Multitalented

Multitalented: Half-elves choose two favored classes at first level and gain +1 hit point or +1 skill point whenever they take a level in either one of those classes.

The Quandry: In an E6 game, leveling stops at 6th level, putting a MUCH greater emphasis on single class play. Leaving this trait would relegate Half-Elves to the very RARE role of multi-class specialist in a game of short levels.

So, I need one of the following:

A) A suggestion of a trait from the APG which could be used to replace this trait permanently.

B) A homebrew trait to replace this trait. Full credit/writeup will be given as my way of saying thanks.

C) A reason to keep this trait and not replace it.

(PS I promise I won't be a jerk.)

I rote an alternate elf early on that gained both benefits so long as they didn't multiclass or prestige class. It's a thought.

If it were my game, I'd offer to let them add an extra class skill of their choice, maybe 2. There's also one alternate trait from the APG that only replaces Multitalented. It lets you choose a arcane class and use spell trigger and completion items as 1 level higher.

That would be far too powerful.

Probably to replace that one ability in this campaign, but for the alternate elf race it was pretty well balanced. But like I said It's a thought.

EDIT: The Multitalented ability would be worth 2-3 points with voodoomikes race builder, what I suggested would be worth 4 at most (probably less).

Just a suggestion, feel free to tear it apart :P

Student of life: Begin play with one additional trait from the basic, religion or regional trait lists. This new trait replaces the multitalented racial trait..

I really like this alot; I had not considered even adding or using traits; but you know this just gives me even more of a reason to use/customize them.

Thanks!

Cool beans, Glad you liked it. The APG not having a "nice" choice to replace multitalented has bothered me a lil' bit. I have neglected playing half-nots because of it. I read your post and this option came to me. It seemed like a reasonable and balanced option.

I am considering making it a houserule in my game. I do not currently play E6, but our group is "considering" it. Please let me know how it works out for ya'.

It's a free feat, basically, that stacks with toughness. It's good, and I'm not sure if it's TOO good, but I wouldn't say it's "far too powerful".

What it is replacing is the equivalent of a human only feat from the APG.
