Homebrew and House Rules


Since the drug rules in the GMG don't cover tobacco, and the tobacco in the AA doesn't use the drug rules in GMG, I made my own entry:

Type ingested or inhaled; Addiction minor, Fortitude DC 10
Price 1 sp
Effect 1d4 hours; calm emotions as per the spell
Effect 1d4 hours; removes fatigue caused by hunger
Damage 20% chance of 1 Con damage

Use it if you'd like!

20% chance of CON dmg really ? whats your reasoning behind this ? 1 CON dmg is not a minor effect, maybe after 20 years of heavy use sure start throwing on CON dmg but every time you light up ?

and maybe just have the clam emotions effect it is only 1 sp value.


With drugs, the ability damage has a distinct effect on addictions. Set it too low, and they'll always be craving, even right after smoking. The high chance may seem rough, and a little unrealistic, but it is needed imo.

But hey, if you think it is too high, feel free to modify it for your game.
