So this week while we were gaming, the question came up as to the area or the burst of a bomb with a 10 foot radius. In the core book, there is no diagram showing a burst template of a 10 foot burst which is center on a square, just a grid. if the alchemists targets a grid, he doesnt get to do the d6 damage to a person, just the splash damage. So we talked it over and I gave them the option of two choices, and they picked the one where the 10 radius is counted out from the center square and ten feet on each side, including diagonals but not their "5 feet, 10 feet, 5 feet" rule. Each diagonal is just 5 feet for purposes of the game. but i would like to get feedback as to what the correct area is for this. please pick one of the examples provided and tell me why you think it is that way, as we are utterly confused and the least experienced player at the table has 8+ years of role playing experience, the majority in D&D.
