Do I award each player the listed xp or do I divide that number between the player characters?

Do I award each player the listed xp or do I divide that number between the player characters?
Divide it up. Think about it, one guy taking out a dragon is (at least) four times as hard as four guys doing it.
Whew ok, That is what I was doing, I have been looking the core rulebook for that rule, but I could not find it anywhere, good thing I followed the 3.x experience rules.
