Two questions; if gear for small-sized characters weighs 1/4 as much as the same equipment for medium-sized, then what might be the reduction in weight for tiny-sized characters?
Also, all magic items have a static weight listed in their descriptions. Assuming that items worn (such as cloaks, headbands and boots) re-size themselves to fit their wearers, would the listed weight change for those items?
I'm playing a tiny character (a faen spryte) with a low strength, so every fraction of a pound matters.

Yar!
The safe assumption (although I do hate assumptions... they can be very dangerous, always -ALWAYS!- double check with your DM, especially in areas not specifically detailed by the rules, like expanding formulae to cover non-standard issues, like Tiny PC's) would be to continue the progression.
Regular gear:
Medium to Small = 1/4
Small to Tiny = 1/4 again (a.k.a. 1/16th of Medium)
Weapon and Armor are not as weight efficient
Medium to Small = 1/2
Small to Tiny = 1/10*
*Just checked the PRD, and it includes a weight adjustment for armor for unusual creatures "Tiny and smaller". Armor for Tiny creatures is 1/10th the weight! (but also gives an AC bonus of 1/2 normal).
linky to equipment section (you'll have to scroll down a bit)
d20pfsrd.com does not include the "Tiny and Smaller" addition, in case you are checking there.
Also: Darkwood is your friend. Halve the weight again, and way less expensive than mithral. (though if/when cost is not as much of an issue, Mithral does give greater benefits ala max dex and armor check penalty reduction).

As for resized magic items, I'd personally rule that they do increase/reduce weight accordingly. Not sure if that's RAW or not... I actually don't have enough time to check on that right now, but that's usually how I do it.

Heh. That assumes that one's GM has a ready answer (or at least an opinion) on such a matter. My GM would likely turn around and ask me "what do they say about it on the Paizo boards?" Which is why I'm asking.
1/16th of Medium

That'd seem to be the default assumption; though it does lead me to wonder at what fraction of a pound does an item's weight become "negligible". Tracking things with a weight listing of 0.0625 lb. seems rather silly.
Still wondering if there's an official word on the weight of resizing magic items.

Do the following: Create another character, a human maybe, who gets the same build as the sprite. Then give him the same equipment and see if he can wear it. If he does, I see no problem with the sprite wearing it.
Btw, why does a character of this size even use weapons? They don´t do any damage and since CMB is influenced by size they won´t be good at maneuvers either. And altough you could argue that a tiny rogue gets the same sneak attack bonus by the system I don´t see that. (while I see no reasons to lower the damage of magic attacks like rays and of course save DCs of mind effecting spells... that´s just how imagine tiny civilised creatures, other than carrion swarms and the like, fighting "the big ones")
