Does the deflection bonus granted by Holy Aura (etc) type spells apply to CMD or not? The spell states that "each warded creature gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC" and the definition of CMD in the book states "A creature can also add any circumstance, deflection, dodge, insight, luck, morale, profane, and sacred bonuses to AC to its CMD."
It seems that any bonus applies to AC can also be applied to CMD. Or does the spell's wording of applying to AC directly override that?

The spell grants a deflection bonus
Cmd says you can add, among other types, a deflection bonus to you cmd, so yes, your spell adds to your cmd
Just keep in mind the bonus with the spell will not stack with any magic item you have that grants a deflection bonus. If you have such an item, let's say a +2 ring of protection, then the spell would also only grant a bonus 2 higher ( since 4 is the stronger bonus, it is the only one that applies).
By the way i read things, it also seems the ring would be adding 2 onto your cmd already, and said spell in this case would also only increase your bonus 2 higher ( to a total of +4 deflection to your cmd)
I'm glad i responded to this post, my cmd is low by 3 on my rogue (1dodge, 2 deflect)
