Halfling Monks With the APG

In the APG, Halflings with Monk as a favored class can get more Stunning attempts per day. In the same book, Monks can get alternate options instead of Stunning fist (e.g. Punishing Kick, Elemental Fist, etc.). Can a Halfing Monk get additional attempts of those alternate abilities in place of Stunning Attempts if they do not have Stunning Fist?

It would be a GM call.

Personally, if the alternate ability grants the same number of uses as Stunning Fist normally is, then I'd allow the alternate racial favored class feature to increase the new ability. However, if it gives a different number of daily uses, I would not allow it to, since there's no way to re-adjudicate the 'per day' bonus.

I likely wouldn't allow it.

I guess that reinforces MDT's point that it is up to the individual GM. :P
