I'm not ashamed to admit that I love this show. Maybe it has to do with watching old "Little Rascals" and "Three Stooges" episodes on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, I don't know.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to some stress-relief tonight as I sit on the couch with my wife and sons, and watch people voluntarily make fools of themselves.
YES!

YES!
I have noticed after watching the US, UK and Australian versions that the UK version is a little easier on the contestants....
I think that with the UK version they are going for the "oddball" rather than the athlete.

Some of the US obstacles are designed to be a guaranteed knockdown, no matter how talented the contestant.
I watched the Australian one the other night and they had the punching wall cranked up to 11... One step on to the wall and people were in the mud.
The nerd in me just asked if you were going to set up Wipeout as part of an adventure what kind of skills and DC numbers would you use?
I could imagine a massive arena with the course set up in countries that are good to neutral it would be non lethal in the evil ones - very lethal.
