You just smile and take it, and then say. "Thank you. May I have another please?"
On a more serious note, yes if you really want to skip items you have to unsubscribe and then resubscribe later.
Hmm... figures you'd say that :) And that's what I figured based on other posts on this forum I'd read. Some of the Setting material can be applied to any campaign (i.e. the books on fiends / demons) -- and should be in the RPG subscription imo, while some is very tightly tied to the PF setting. I have my own setting but some stuff is, no pun intended :D , damn useful, some is good for ideas or reading and some is just not useful. Oh well, guess I'll be unsubscribing / subscribing this one regularly...
Thanks DM.

I am guessing it is some of the country setting type books you are least interested in? I will add they tend to have about a 1/4 to a 1/3rd new spells, magic, traits etc.
PS I am not positive I am right, I think I am. I seem to remember someone else asking that and that being the answer.

Case by case there. I teach history (and have multiple degrees in history and anthropology) and a lot of the nations in my setting have historical analogues (much as some of the PF nations). Others are based off various fantasy settings / tropes. Some are already highly detailed, fairly unique or reflect my campaigns development (I have tended to "bump" my campaign "forward" in time during down periods between players / editions. Then too, some stuff is just fun to read and good ideas are always welcome. I have collected pretty much all the Greyhawk and Blackmoor stuff in the past even though I have never run either as a setting. The only setting I have ever used in a game besides my own is M.A.R. Barker's Tekumel. Always had a soft spot for that one. I suspect that Golarion is another one that will make fun reading even if I don't use it...

R_Chance, unfortunately we don't really have a good way to skip over subscription items. For subscription items that you don't want, generally we cancel the subscription, then reinstate it, which isn't ideal for either customer service or you. I will bring this up at our next meeting and see if there's a better solution out there. :) *offers cookies*

Thanks for the cookies :) There are items in the setting sub that are "must have" for me (or at least really want bad -- i.e. the book on demons and the upcoming one on undead), "maybes" (the Inner Sea primer, just for reading) and stuff that I can miss. I like the sub, but if I end up dipping in and out too often, I'll just order the items I want and pick up the PDFs seperately. That will probably mean missing some "maybes" depending on the game budget at the time. I appreciate the reply, not to speak of Paizo's excellent products. I've played for 36 years (started with D&D in 1974) and I don't think I've ever found uniformly better material.
