Thanks is now fixed for the next revision.

Sageasa5 wrote:

Weight: Special materials will reduce the weight of items, but the character sheet uses the unadjusted weights for display and to determine your encumbrance. (Example Darkwoord longbow and mithral chain shirt should way 14 pounds together, but display on character sheet as 26 pounds. Don't know why it's 26 instead of 28, but it's not 14 which is what's right. :)

The correct weight is displayed in the Arms Tab however.

It appears I have some nagging inconsistencies between the Arms page selections and the Items page regarding weights. I'll keep working on these. I noticed the arms page is also defaulting whip and wooden stake as selections too, even when they do not exist on the items page.

Sageasa5 wrote:
Also, a Duelist i built got kinda messed up regarding his AC, but i don't know if it was his Duelist bonus to AC or Combat Expertise's bonus. It displayed all the bonuses correctly (though it lumped some untyped as Dodge bonus, which is fine)but then displayed "-3 penalty" in the AC summary of the Character sheet.

I'll do some more digging around on this one and see what I can figure out.

Thanks again for identifying these.

ok i checked the box and i still cant find where to pick traits and i found the place for preferred class bonus but.... it comes up only as a blue field

also it wont let me pick toughness more than once as a feat.

After you "check" the box, a new tab (worksheet) will appear along the bottom labeled "Traits" (between "Levels" and "Skills").

I'm a little confused on the favored class bonus problem though...

On the Stats page you select in the yellow box, the class that will be your favored class.

On the Level page, each level heading will then have a yellow box (or white if no class is selected for the level) for selecting the favored class bonus.

Neither of these boxes are blue though, so I'm not sure which one you may be looking at.

Pendagast wrote:

Toughness cannot be selected multiple times. Only feats that can be selected multiple times are ones that contain a "Special" clause that specifically states that "you can gain this feat multiple times and its effects stack".

It was something i would see in 3.5 but the Pathfinder Toughness gets better as you level unlike the one time bonus that 3.5 gave.

Kor. I was building a Barbarian/Fighter with all the shield feats. I noted that Shield Master is not calculating right. I did the tests with basic Heavy Steal Shield.

When if i pick dual wield primary or secondary I still see the negatives from two weapon fighting.

If i pick Dual Wield. it gives me a +7 Attack bonuse. putting my attack way high.

as i note to have Shield Master you must have two-weapon fighting. so this will already be figured into the stats.

I just have a question. As you add more content from the Advanced Player's Guide, will you be including the various core class build options (i.e. the street preformer variant for the bard)? Just wondering. Thanks!

Yes, they will all be added. I have to rebuild a portion of the sheet that handles all that though, so once I am done with all the classes, then that is my next project. The Oracle class went very slowly (all those darn mystery revelations). I have finished them now, however I have recognized something I have to do to rebuilt part of the Spell List tab. So much to do... so little time :(

*curses the Oracle class*

This is a tricky one, but I think I found the erros now.

I forgot to link a formula to the cell where I remove the two-weapon fighting penalty for shield master. With this corrected, is does display properly now when "dual-wield (off hand)" is selected.

For shield master, I did not take into account the shield being used as a primary weapon. I have now corrected that.

Please test it on the version I hope to have out by tomorrow (maybe tonight). It should all be fixed.

Thanks for noticing this.

Since I still have 6 hours left :P is it possible to get on the custom bonus sheet an option to add a bonus to concentration checks?

Is there a future intent to add traits?

Traits are already implemented. On the Options tab at the very front, there is a check box, that says Traits Option. It is probably unselected. Click the checkbox and a new tab will appear between the Levels and Skills tabs.

I think on review I would still like the concentration value being exposed as an option. I guess it is made complex as it tracks a different calculated concentration for each spell casting class (since you have different stats.) But the two effects that modify that value, combat casting and focused mind trait effect all concentration evenly.

To date, they both just put a note in the spell notes box that says "+x to concentration checks" but don't actually update the conc. check box.

I guess while I'm picking at the spell sheet the spells/day doesn't reflect your specialist spell for wizards with a specialty.

And heck...
Detect Poison and Ray of Frost are not selectable for 0th level wizard spells, but if typed in don't cause a validation error

Combat Casting doesn't increase your "overall" concentration check. It only provides a bonus when casting defensively or when grappled. The chart on page 207, shows several other situations that would require a concentration check, in which the Combat Casting bonus wouldn't apply.

Hrmm... it used to. I'll have to get that fixed :)

These are fixed in the revision.

(Sorry revision is delayed... just taking a break from house painting right now. I will have it posted in a few hours though).

Version Beta 1.2 now released.

Many, many little fixes. (Sorry for the brief summary, but there's quite a few and I have lost track of what I have fixed)

Most of the issues identified in this thread since v 1.1, have been fixed.

I agree on the combat casting, focus mind trait is a static bonus though.

Is there a way to output to a Stat Block format or to import a Stat Block to your app?

Where's the download link? The first post still links to v1.1.

*EDIT* LOL N/M, it literally JUST updated as I clicked Submit Post.

Does the 1.2 revision include the class variants? I have a character using Drunken Rage Barbarian variant, and was hoping to use your sheet for him. Thanks!!

chopswil wrote:

It does currently output to a basic Stat Block format, which is on the Summary Page.

Unfortunately there is no ability to import a Stat Block.

I knew I should have looked that trait up before I pushed the revision out. I'll have that amended on the next revision. Thanks.

No, not at this time. I'm still working on completing the classes (Oracle, Summoner and Witch). Once I am done with those then I will be moving onto the class and race variants.

where can i download v1.2?

Go to the first post in the thread. There is a link.

Kor,

Shield Master is working fine with shields. any chance you can make it work with a spiked shield :) also when i have a Bashing shield it is adding the +1 weapon enchantment but is not increasing the damage as if it was 2 sizes larger. any way we could link this to the shield spikes also.

Maybe when you add the shield spikes to the shield you have equipped. and then equip that shield as a weapon it will add it all together.

Shield specialization is not adding the base non-magical shield bonus and bonus from Shield Focus to CMD.

I am also getting a #NA for damage on page 3 when i take a bite attack.

When calculating LB on page 1 it does not factor in Mithral equipment LB reduction. on page 4a it is listed correctly.

Any news on when the Witch will be completed?

It takes you to a website where you can download the correct version. It is not a link to the sheet but a link to the website.

Doctadud wrote:

I was looking over my Errata on the core rule book and noticed that the Shield Master was updated from my version. I think you may have the same version as i do.

the update states that only the shields Enhancement bonus to AC is added to the attack and damage. so a +3 heavy shield would give a +3 to attack an damage.

The old version said that you add the shields, shield bonus to attack and damage. In the old version it would give you +5 to attack and damage.

In the Traits section i cannot find Loreseeker from the Campaign traits from the APG book. I dont think any of them are in there.

So I just downloaded this sheet, honestly haven't played with it much... One thing for sure it definitely is a large file and takes a while to open... Which leads me to the question of, if people are using this as a "live sheet" rather than printing it, is there any way (other than having multiple copies of the file with different file names) to save multiple characters?

Also, I may have done something wrong, but the Oracle does not seem to be in class lists... Has it not been finished yet?

I have used this sheet as a live sheet (an older version than current) & while it did take awhile to open once open it was fine - I did have a slight problem with having multiple copies open at once but I believe that Kor has fixed this issue (problem was the traits & campanion tabs would hide)

to have multiple characters you have to have separately saved sheets - one for each character - just like most excel files

I believe the Oracle is an APG class & Kor has done got APG material in this yet ( I believe there is some background stuff already inputted but they are not ready for use)

Hi there,

Great sheet by the way!

Every time I select "Half-Elf" and tehn change any stat it comes with a "Run-time Error 13 - type mismatch".

Debugging brings up the below:

rivate Sub Worksheet_Calculate()
If Range("FV12").Value = 0 And Not IsEmpty(Range("FV12")) Then
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Page2+").Visible = xlSheetHidden
Else
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Page2+").Visible = xlSheetVisible
End If
End Sub

(the ifRange line is highlighted)

Also I noticed that the feat "Arcane Strike" is not available in the "Arms" tab to select as a "Special feat" option...

Thanks again.

I can only assume (and fervently hope) that Kor's silence is a reflection on his secret and hardcore efforts. And that the next version he's putting out (real soon I hope) includes all the class archetypes.

Oooooo :D prove me right! :D

Hi all,

Sorry that I have disappeared for awhile. I have had a lot of things going on in my life, and I have had to stop working on this spreadsheet for awhile. I am very behind in my progress, and am still going to need some time until I can start working on it again. My first priority will be to try to address the bugs/errors that have been identified.

Thanks for continuing to check in on it though.

Is there any data monkey stuff that you need doing?

Good luck with your other stuff, thanks for the sheet so far :)

Look forward to your return when all is well once more.

Kor

Are you anywhere near getting a version of the Magus done?

If not I have done one for one of my players (who now wants to play a fighter - go figure?)

Anyway, if you want I could send it through.

If you're interested in getting some help with your project, I know of quite a few experienced spreadsheet programmers who did extensive work with the HeroForge Excel charactersheet over the last few years that might be interested in collaborating with you. This would go beyond simple data entry to bug fixing and new material implementation, if you want.

Feel free to message me here if you're interested.

Not a problem on the disappear. Life happens, as we all know!

I like your charsheet, and talk it up where ever and when ever I can. And like others on the yahoo group Brooks mentions, I too can do some mundane assistance if there is such a thing.

I do have one question though: In a game with Doctadud, I have a monk, and he recently ended up with a spear. When I equip it, the sheet gives me a -4 because it shows he's not proficient, yet the monk description clearly shows monks are proficient with spears. What am I doing wrong?
