So, I started running Rise of the Runelords about a month ago, and we had a funny moment occur at the game last night. The PCs had just arrived at Thistletop, and had come up to the rope bridge. The party consists of two Half-Orcs (an Oracle and a Fighter), a Dwarf (wizard) and a Half-Elf (Inquisitor).
As they approach the rope bridge, the dwarf remarks that the bridge is probably trapped. One of the half-orcs sys it wouldn't be, because goblins may be stupid, but not stupid enough to risk losing the only way off the island. The dwarf raises his eyebrow, and says, "Wanna bet?" The other half-orc joins in too, and they get a bet going- the dwarf even gives them better odds. (If it's trapped, each of the half-orcs pay him 100 gold. If it's not, he pays each of them 150 gold.) So the two half-orcs high-five, and bolt across the bridge.
Immediately after they begin running, the dwarf says he's going to step onto the bridge as well, to judge how sturdy it is. (Anyone who knows this trap knows that it's set off by three medium-sized characters stepping on the bridge.) The fighter and Dwarf made their saves (dwarf jumped back onto the cliff, fighter grabbed onto the rope somewhere in the middle) while the oracle fell into the waters below.
Everyone was alright in the end, but it was hilarious. (Maybe you had to be there.)

You should probably spoilerfy your post though. That gives away GM knowledge. Not sure if my players peruse these forums but I wouldn't put it past them as some of my players are becoming much more involved in learning about Golarion.
Otherwise, I can only hope something like this happens at my table. I would have a hard time keeping a straight face. Though I normally crack up when they freak over nothing too. So, it's a wash IMO.

My first RotRL group made their rogue to check. He runs over and back, nothing happens. Next thing they do is that all of them step on the bridge and most of the group fell in the water. Cleric went negatives and was rescued by Shalelu before he drowned. Nice to hear that others had same moments tha I did.
Funny memories. ^^

I have asked all my players not to read anything in the RotRL section. I kinda assume it is all spoilers. Same thing my DM did for us in his Kingmaker campaign. The posts that bother me are the ones that are in general discussion and the like with spoilers OR here and give spoilers to different AP's. Just me though. Its prolly good to say "spoiler thread" in the heading anyway.
Otherwise, sounds like a fun time. I am certain your players will reference that moment for years.

Erm.. how do you edit posts? I'd like to add spoiler tags, but I can't seem to find an edit function. I swear there was one before, but right now it eludes me. (Edit: There's an edit button on this post, but not the last one. Do they disappear over time?)
Anyway, I love whenever two or more of my players will be in complete agreement about something in-game and act accordingly. In this case, it's the image of the two half-orcs high-fiving and then running across the bridge (rolling initiative to see who's in front) as they approach the impending doom. I had a similar-type moment a while back in an Age of Worms game, when two players, who were Lawful Evil and Neutral Evil, finished interrogating an evil nexromancer. After getting some information, one asked the other, "So, do we need any more information?" The other replied, "Nope." Then, without a word, both players simultaneously tossed a d20 (making a neat X across the battlemat). I didn't even need to ask what they were rolling for- they were ending the miserable necromancer's life.

Funny thing that happened in our game, the Magus who is the weakest in the party casts acid splash at the hermit crab. Rolls a 20 we all laugh, so he rolls again to confirm, another 20, we all gasp, then he rolls a third time, and again and a final 20 to win him an instant kill with a level 0 spell.
The crab was going against a 2nd level party since they managed to skip everything important and take every possible shortcut by accident. They managed to recruit Orik and Lyrie though but the crab outright killed Orik with a crit on each claw. Everyone began to cry and then he rolled that and it was an amazing sight. They managed to carry the thing out and luckily got past all the goblins that were on the way out.

In our game the half-orc barbarian rolled a 25 perception check and sniffed out the goblin wagon south of town, which caused the whole attack to take place sooner. He was then deafened by one of the goblins' thunderstones (which it used to signal the northern goblin party) and has been having a lot of fun with it.
"Just point me at them and I'll make them sing for all to hear!"

A bit of dark humor courtesy of the two half-orcs in my game:
Then they beat up on each other and convinced the guards that Tsuto got away from them while they were guarding him. It became a running joke that the half-orcs would talk about what a shame it was that no one had found Tsuto yet.
