Animated Objects vs. Energy Attacks

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

If I have an Animated Object made of say stoned, does it or does it not benefit from the objects take half damage before applying hardness rule? The example in question is an Animated stone statue being hit by a flaming sphere.

I'm tempted to allow the fire to do full damage before hardness, but I'd like to know the correct course.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Animated objects become creatures and follow creature rules, don't they?

Yes but they have hardness and apply it just like an object -- that's part of their CR rating.

SO half the damage before hardness.
