Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Good evening,

Working on this race for my amusement/writing/putting out there for OGL, and wanted input. I'm thinking it's a +1 LA race in 3.5 D&D, but LA 0 in Pathfinder. I'd be grateful to the community if people would critique it.

I'm working on an ecology/sociology, paragon class, and some racial feats.

From the darkness we come, moving silently down through the centuries, living many secret lives. Few have ever known we were among you.....until now.
Morphs
Rarely is there such a thing as a morph community. Natural shapshifters, morphs often drift from village to village, living several lives as each makes a unique place in the world.
Morph Racial Traits
+2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Morphs are naturally strong willed and naturally insightful of others, but their desire to blend in results in difficulty in imposing that will.
Medium: Morphs are medium sized, and have no benefits or penalties due to their size.
Normal speed: Morphs have a base speed of 30 feet.
Low Light vision: Morphs can see twice as far as humans in conditions of poor illumination.
+1 natural armor bonus: For their slender build, morphs are surprisingly tough in their natural form
Insightful: Morphs are highly empathic. They receive a +2 bonus to all bluff and sense motive checks
Alter Self (SU): All morphs have the ability to assume the form of a small or medium humanoid. This is treated as the alter self spell, but with an unlimited duration. Changing to a new form (or resuming the morph’s actual form) is a full round action.
History: Legends state that the first morphs were decended from couplings of dopplegangers and humans in aristocratic debauchery. Other tales say there were a race who mastered shapshifting magic to avoid some great cataclysm, but the magic twisted them into their current form. Finally some whispered secrets talk of a race of immortal shapeshifters stealing infants to continue their line.
Appearance: While morphs are seldom seen in their natural form they do have one. Morphs are hairless humanoids averaging between 5’ and 6’ tall. They are usually slender, with long five fingered hands and long toes on their feet. Skin colour varies from grey to green, with some rare morphs having deep blue skin. A morph’s eyes are a solid colour, normally black, blue, or red.
