so i am looking for 6-7 players for a higher level epic feel campaign. Here are the campaign aspects
characters: 13th level
wealth: standard wealth for 13th level characters
stats: going a little different, starting stats will be 15,14,13,12,11,10
Alignment: This is a heroic campaign, so I'd really prefer Good alignments, or Neutral leaning more towards good/can't let evil just happen.
Back Story: You are a hero of the realm, famous for your exploits, one night you get a dream from either:
your god
your dead parent/mentor/significant person
a good outsider
a forest spirit
"written in the stars"
or dreamed about a written message
Telling you to go to this old cathedral in an abandoned city ruins far off from the beaten path.
Campaign world: my own creation, but all things typically Golorian are in there i.e. gods, races, etc.
Ask away on questions.

garabbott |

I'd love to play, though one question: is it anything PF, including APG?
Also, as a disclaimer, I've never had much experience with higher-level characters (only having DM'd campaigns that have ever made it that far), but would love to give things a try and won't shy away from advice if I end up doing something wrong. I'll write up a little something later and post it here.
EDIT: Also, would you advise against a Cavalier for purposes of not having regular access to a mount?

Leshok |

hmm i'm guessing i've left some vague guidelines lol i'll rewrite
characters: 13th level
wealth: standard wealth for 13th level characters
stats: going a little different, character creation stats will be 15,14,13,12,11,10 , all racial modifiers will be applied as normal, same with stat point every 4th level.
Alignment: This is a heroic campaign, so I'd really prefer Good alignments, or Neutral leaning more towards good/can't let evil just happen.
books allowed: core rule book and apg.

I'm in. Not many opportunities to play semi-epic levels in a PBP and even fewer opportunities to help people play their homebrews (check mine out if you guys are interested; quite a waiting list though - Shadows of Aris). I know, advertising bad!
Anyways I'm feeling something along the lines of either a magus (if allowed; have yet to beta him myself) or an Inquisitor. I can come up with a background once I get ahold of my laptop and can have a character sheet copy e-mailed to you via Hero Lab. Will have it posted up here shortly after.
Let me know and I appreciate the chance if I do get accepted.

I'd also be interested . I once made a character that was an Abjurer tutor to the local royal house's heirs (this could of course be your selection of noble houses or a temple to the god(dess)/gods of magic) and had to flee with them when the house was threatened by assassination/revolt . Sadly the game never got off the ground once the DM had pitched this fantastic concept (protecting the heirs of the royal throne on a perilous journey) but I'd very much like to play a similar character . Perhaps (since the game is so high in level) the character spent her time as an adventurer before settling down to become a tutor and now feels the call to adventure once again
This character was going to form a close relationship with a couatl who would act as her mentor (she'd started having visions) . I was looking to take Rainbow Servant back then but this is just for the theme
So my concept is
-Good Abjurer (Specialist wizard)
- Tutor to a local noble heir(s) or alternatively well-known local wizard with a few apprentices
- Feels the call to adventure again prompted by her long-running but occasional visions of a couatlHow does this sound ? I've never played higher-level but the theme of the game sounds really exciting
.

Adrien: The idea is good, but perhaps a little low to scale...a 13th level character is typically some one whose exploits would have earned them a high amount of fame. You would be more likely to have your own magical academy, be a court appointed wizard for a king or high noble, etc. The idea soudns good, just make yourself more a hero of the realm!
Talomyr: i don't know anything about the spherewalker prc, do you think you could provide me with a link or information on it? Just want to see hwo it works so i know whats going on.

Here's a link to the class description.
The build in mind right now is Cleric 9th/Spherewalker 4th

Yes I think you're right :) I'll go for her (haven't decided on gender yet) being an advisor to the king/queen and a "master wizard" to the royal heir(s) if one/several/all of them have an aptitude for magic
Still likely to be LG (emphasizing Good rather than extreme Lawfulness but devoted to her duty to the royal family and the people of the area) Abjurer , inspired and/or guided by a Couatl

Leshok |

Adrien: i approve, infact go ahead and start out with 2 of the Couatl's brightly colored prismatic feathers that can each be used for summoning that specific Couatl through Planar Ally without spending the gold cost.
Talomyr: I did not know I was so in love with a PRC till i read the sphere walker, please play it!!!
LazarX: I have a special place in my heart for paladins! smite away my friend, smite away!

Just a follow up:
I think the ranger class will fit the following idea.
Brynn Kalonnor, the fourth son and sixth child of a local minor house. In his youth, he was an avid hunter, a favorite pastime of his noble father. Upon reaching the age of majority, he set out to stake his own claim ,while still trying to uphold the mores and values of his superior position. Ultimately, he became a member of the royal naturalists, rangers charged with the world just outside the reach of the Kings hand. Brynn, capable and consistent, was used by the crown on many 'discreet' encounters with neighboring factions.
Now thirty, he seeks to have one final adventure, which will allow him to retire in luxury somewhere in the 'Outlands' of the realm.
Brynn will be using the archer template and will have an animal companion (more likely a bear or wolf)which has been in his service for the last decade.
I plan to play him somewhat 'arrogant', more to due with his upbringing than an unhealthy disposition. LN (good tendencies), he will take just orders from those her sees as his equals or better (like the Royal magician and what-not).
Hope this was a good read... I will post a new profile with statistics in the evening sometime.... BRAX

Bonzo Wiggin |

garabbott, here. This is the barebones shell of my character concept. I'm thinking a Fighter (Free-Hand Fighter) 10 and Chevalier 3. Weapon of choice would be a bastard sword (yes, took the Exotic Weapon Proficiency to let me use it in one hand. We'll see how it pans out).
I'll get the backstory up and running before too long, but I had a question about Feats. Is Leadership allowed? :)
Also, how liberal can we be with our backstories? For example, Chevalier has a special requirement for the prestige class to do something very brave before qualifying. I'm thinking something along the lines of facing an evil dragon and surviving, or liberating a countryside singlehandedly from an evil, oppressive baron - probably doing these things under the influence, as well (Bonzo isn't stupid, just reckless). Can I make up town names and stuff, or should I just be very vague so as it might fit in to whatever setting you've got planned?
And I like the sound of having my own castle. Or pub. I'd be happy with either.

Leshok |

Bonzo: a 13th level character can certainly have faced against a dragon or single handedly stopped a rampaging horde of trolls or etc.
Feel free to make up town names and such! easily helps me out!
You could easily have your own pub. As for castle? maybe a tower or a small keep, you could be knighted and given a small area of land to look over (perhaps the very area you saved!)

Fantastic . Thank you :) I'm so excited to have a chance to bring back this concept and play it. It should tie well with the other characters , I think Desna is the likeliest deity for this character (promoting goodness , traveling to exotic places and following dreams . Desna might also have couatl servants)
Still thinking about the background some more but is it safe to assume that a land similar to Maztica exists where the character could have gone and spent some years being tutored/guided by the couatl ? Having a character who brought back knowledge of and from foreign lands would make them a desirable advisor as well .

Leshok |

Adrien: The more likely idea would be that you found yourself involved in quests that a Couatl was guiding in order to promote good/get rid of evil. (i.e. the couatl contacts a church to have it put out a call for help to stop an evil cult from rising) and after that you began working directly for the Couatl who was impressed with your skill and dedication to good. He would tutor you when you weren't on "quests" and eventually you became more like comrades as your arcane expertise has surpassed him. So he would be like a mentor that you are still in contact with.
Atleast that is my thought, this would have earned you fame in the lands you work in now as a powerful servant of good! of course you can tweak as you see fit ;)

@LostSoul: I do not have a site, but you can email/google chat me at stephen.bloomingdale@gmail.com for any direct questions, its mostly all in my head, and very typical fantasy, except i like a bit more hmm despair and realism in some of my cities (i.e. not all cities have an identifiable alignment because they are ruled by a paladin, council or pirates, mages, etc.)

OK I can chat with you on messenger if you have time.

Had a decent Magus in mind, but going to have to back out before I get started because I'm starting up an adventure that runs parallel to my current homebrew with the people on my waiting list. Thanks for the opportunity however and I'll be keeping an eye on the game for inspiration and creative ideas for my own.

I will throw my hat in as an alternate if anyone drops out.
I would like to play a Summoner (all 13 glorious levels). My eidolon will be along the lines of a dragon - wings and all.
Let me know if there is a spot!

The woman Jholanna was not well known by the people of the nearby village. She was known to be a hermit, rather young as most hermits go, plainly dressed, friendly enough to those who visited her, but rarely seen outside her secluded cliffside dwelling which faced the southern sky and the setting and rising sun. It's one feature was that of an odd scarecrow formed of apparantly battered and dirty armor that she placed on her pitifully small field. She appeared one day, trailing a coffin whom most believed was that of a loved one, tended with the care usually accorded to a dead spouse so they assumed she was a widow. When asked about it she returned a silent look from which pain and loss ebbed from her eyes so strongly that no one asked twice. She would on occasion come to town to trade for supplies with modest but surprising amounts of coin. She was counted by some to be a witch after healing two children who injured themselves near her dwelling. As she kept to herself, her sudden and unnanounced disappearance was met with sorrow by some, relief by others.
It was the predawn. Jholanna woke as she had on other days, preparing a simple meal eaten with silent meditation. It had been days since she last spoke, which was not uncommon as she rarely sought company and even more rarely had visitors. She would speak sometimes at the grave, but one ritual she never missed was watching the dawning sun. But on this day, the silent reverie rolled over her thunderstruck in sudden revelation. Silently she walked away from the cliff, to the grave she had dug and placed her beloved as it seemed.. an age ago.
"Once more I have been called, to vision, to fight, and perhaps not to return, but to finally join you. To break that separation when you chose the rest you had earned, and left my heart desolate. Beloved, wait and watch over me."
With that, she went to the field and took down the scarecrow. She disassembled it and took the filthy armor down the stream and washed away the disguising mud to reveal it's golden gleam. From beneath the stream she reached down digging in it's bed... finally pulling out a shining great golden blade... PUtting it in the sheathe she had brought. she paused for one more minor task.
Stranger if you read this note, it will be that I shall not return to this dwelling. Abide there as you choose as long as you bring no harm to those who dwell nearby. All that you find within is yours to use and share. In return I ask only one favor, that you do not disturb the rest of She, my beloved who rests here.
The Sunwalker.
