Hey guys, THIS BOOK has the kingdom building and hex exploration of the Kingmaker books all together in one PDF. Also there's new buildings and events and other stuff thrown in.
It's actually pretty good and helpful to Kingmaker DMs.
It's also a shameless plug since I have writing cred on it. :-)

The 3rd installment of the Book of the River Nations series popped this morning. All new material. It covers Feats, Spells, and Prestige Classes/Archetypes. The feats and spells help to optimize a character for ruling a nation.

Just to let everyone know, the printed version of the Book of the River Nations went off to the printer this morning. With any luck, it'll be in your local game store in 3-ish weeks. The best way to get a copy of it ASAP is to let your game store know that its coming.
My game store knows.
Now, how fast can I get it? :)

Awesome!!! (EDIT: LOL, I forgot you are a game store owner Drogon!!! Nice one!!!) Your game store should get it in 2-ish weeks after it leaves the printer. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as it does. I'm hoping it'll take a week to print, but I don't have any real control over how fast that happens.
EDIT 2: My (limited) experience tells me that it takes 1 week to get from the printer to Impressions' Warehouse + processing, 1 week to get to your distributor's warehouse + processing. So from there it is now long it takes to get from your distributor to you.

Good enough. I will make sure to pester the appropriate people with my distributor.
Thanks, in advance, for what looks to be a good addition to our shelves.

Does this book incorporate your other releases?
Or will I still find value in the other three books?

Or will I still find value in the other three books?
Tomorrow I'll be releasing the table of contents and giving short descriptions of each, but the short answer is, "Yes, includes the Exploration, Kingdom Building, Mass Combat, Feats, Spell, and Secret Societies PDF releases." Some of the sections saw small changes and minor cleanups while other sections got overhauls and upgrades. There is also a section of Magic Items as well.

Hi, Dale -
I must say, this is a very nice book. I was GMing RRR with the kingdom rules out of the module, and my co-GM (who is about to run the 3rd book) showed me this book. It was obviously a better option than the module for kingdom building rules, so I started using it last night, and I have to say I was not disappointed at all. Very nice job.
My only question is this: a major problem in my game (and something I've seen come up before, in the RRR GM Reference thread and elsewhere) is the problem of minor magic items worth less than 4,000gp. There's no way to get those items out of the item slots other than for the PCs to buy them personally, which is often undesireable for various reasons. I was hoping to see some treatment of a mechanic to address this problem early in a kingdom's lifetime, but I didn't see anything.
What I've been doing - which I think JJ suggested in the GM reference thread - is allowing one of the unwanted minor items to fall off during the "Sell magic Items" phase, with no benefit to the party for it (no GP gained, no BP gained, just "poof"). Is this something you would recommend? If not, why not?
Sorry to clog what is essentially a second product thread, but you've now elevated yourself to something of a subject matter expert in my mind. :-p

Sorry to chime in when I wasn't the one addressed, but I find an easy solution to this is to add the GP value of the item worth less than 4K into the same pool that you donate items and gold into as part of Step 1 of the Income Phase. This is both very simple and does give some reward for selling the item beyond simply removing the duff items from the slots. Its worked well for both the RL KM game I DM'ed and my PbP.

This is exactly what I am doing in my Kingmaker campaign and so far it is working very well.

Great suggestion, thanks everyone! And AK, you know you're always welcome to chime in... in fact, I owe you an amusing story in your 6 person conversion thread for RRR. I will regale you upon finishing this post, in fact.
One question, though - do you reset that 4000gp pool every month? The way I read it, it sort of seems like "either the PCs donate 4000gp, or they don't". Are you letting them accumulate money in a "bank" of sorts, and letting that carry over from month to month?
I think that's a really good solution, but I am somewhat worried about the bookkeeping aspect of it. My group would definitely use such a feature, but only with the items less than 4000gp generated by the city. We have generally avoided giving out of our pockets to the city unless absolutely necessary. So it'd be necessary to keep a running list of all the "junk" in the "bank", so to speak. It can't just go on their sheets, after all, because then they'd want to use it! LOL

What I've done, based on AK's and others suggestions, is to just keep a running tab and every time it hits 4,000 gp give the BP and reset it.
I too am very grateful to AK and others for their 6 player conversions. I am now running two groups of 6 through Kingmaker. Loving every minute of it. And it is amazing how different groups can be.

Pretty much- I let it carry over each month, whenever it hits 4K they gain a BP and the pool resets to 0GP. Its extremely minimal admin compared to the enormity of a kingdom building phase.
