The "Hold of the Sea Princes" or "Land of the Sea Princes," what was the Native name for that area long, long ago?

At least that's what I remember from the old old old GH Folio...

Mordenkainen comes close to the power level of Slerotin...

But somehow, I don't think you were thinking of someone so obvious...

Could that be Tuerny the Merciless, perhaps?

Yeah, but BEFORE it was "The Hold of the Sea Princes" what was it? Like, what did the natives call North America before the Europeans came kinda thing.

And Mona -- you can't ask your own until you answer mine.

Play by the rules, man (er, "man-god," or "master" or whatever)

The region that would become the Hold of the Sea Princes was heavily settled by Suel during the Great Migrations. Eventually it came under the control of the Kingdom of Keoland

Does that help?

And before the Suel ....?

Wasn't it Monmurg, as in the capital city?

How about Abis-ara-Tmat, in Rob Kuntz's "The History of the Suloise" (Oerth Journal #11)? Assuming the Tiamat allusion is false, of course...

Rellimirck?

Regarding the Hold of the Sea Princes and its original native name -- would something as simple as Hool Peoples/Tribe work for northern natives and either Hokar or Kamph Peoples/Tribes?

"Lands of the Hool Clans"
"Tribes of the Hokar Peoples"

I don't think they ever named their lands, since land/state naming is usually something only more organized states do, and AFAIK the advanced Flan kingdoms were established to the North/Northeast.

Wasn't the Archmage Lendore (of Lendore Isles fame) a Mage of Power too?
