The Boarded in Cheliax trait says that a character starts off with a map of the Mwangi Expanse.
Are there any suggestions on a good map from any of the sourcebooks that I could use? I'd like to be able to give a player a copy/print of a map if they take this trait.
I think both Heart of the Jungle and Sargava: the Lost Colony have maps of the Mwangi expanse. My books are at home, though, so I can't be sure.
The Sargava book is just Sargava and the trait says of the Mwangi Expanse so i felt that map was too limited. Someone is borrowing my HotJ book, so i'll check that when I get it back, but from memory I believe the map that was in that book was too DM-ish with every location shown. I was hoping that there might be another map somewhere else to use. Maybe i'll just have to draw one out.
I am not giving the character a physical map per se, but allowing it to provide an additional shortcut bonus during the race. My characters are still stuck on the Shiv, but when it comes time I am going to link it into the character's back-story that they are associated with one of the keyed locations, right now leaning toward the
Ah, good idea. I wonder if directly giving them a "day" off of the time of the rest will be too much. Of course, my players are making characters right now and at first 2 of them mentioned that they might take that trait and now neither is so I'll probably not need it regardless. ha
