Does the nightmare hex not have a duration?

It looks as though someone cursed by a nightmare hex is forever doomed to go without sleep (except for the nights in which they make their save). Is that so?

I do believe the Hex says once the Save is made, it's over.

gonna find the exact text though.

edit:

Quote:
Nightmares (Su): Calling upon fell powers, a witch can place a hex on a creature within 60 feet that causes its sleep to be tormented by terrible nightmares. This functions as the spell nightmare each time the affected creature attempts to rest. A Will save negates this effect. If the save is failed, the target must make a new save each night or be unable to rest.

I can see how it can be Interpreted as "regardless, it will occur" but I'm guessing the "A Will Save negates this effect" means it completely negates the Hex, so one Save is all that's needed.
