New building Idea

So my players decided to Roleplay the goldmine they discoveredin book 1 of the Stolen Lands. I extrapalated some rules from the dungeneers survival guide from my 1st ed library. Know that they have begun building up their city they want to build a mint and begin to make their own coinage. I would like some feedback on a building idea I came up with for it.

Mint
Loyalty +1, Stability+1, Economy +2

Or I was also thinki of

Mint
Loyalty +1, Stability +1
-1 BP from cost from all buildings

The build point reduction is based on it would be easier to pay for construction costs if kingdom had its own coinage.

Sounds cool. I think, however, if you are going to reduce BP per building for a mint, you might want to consider having it only apply in the city where the mint is located. Otherwise, it could really add up fast. Besides, that would spur them to find other mines, and build other mints, with different demoninations and different PC's faces on the coins.


I would go with your first instincts and do:

Economy +2, Loyalty +1, Stability +1.

Economy because, well, the obvious.
Loyalty because your faces are stamped on every coin that's traded daily in the realm.
Stability because you have a nice reserve of money to fall back on in case of emergencies.

The -1 BP per building idea sounds neat, but becomes too difficult to balance out in the long run. Plus it doesn't make too much sense, logistically speaking.

I'd price it at right around the same as a Town Hall, too (perhaps a little less).

What was the BP costs and how big is it? Maybe half the costs of a new building... Banks?
