Pathfinder Adventure Path involving undead?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

Hello everyone!

I have never played any Pathfinder Adventure Path (I meet Pathfinder RPG a few weeks ago) and I want to buy one. But, I would love to know if any Adventure Path has undeads involved, or as a main theme.

Thanks for your answers and your time.

You need look no further than the Carrion Crown Adventure Path, starting in February.

Wow! It's just what I'm looking for! ^_^
And... how about the Adventure Path actually sold?

Well I've only run Rise of the Runelords, which is a blast but not really undead-heavy, and I'm currently running Curse of the Crimson Throne, which features undead here and there, especially in the 2nd and 5th chapters (if I remember correctly). I'm sure someone over these boards can give you more accurate info regarding the other APs.

Good. Thanks, Tommaso.

It's not for Pathfinder, but Age of Worms was produced by Paizo and has quite a lot of undead content I gather. I haven't actually played it myself, but I've read quite a few of the adventures and it seems pretty cool. The first adventure is certainly very cool (and written by Erik Mona).

You might want to consider the Age of Worms adventure path. There are many undead in it. It also goes from level 1 to 20+.

Age of Worms was published in 12 consecutive issues of Dungeon magazine while that periodical was still being published by Paizo. If you can't get the dead tree versions of those particular issues, then get the PDFs on this site. Since the adventure path was written for 3.5 you would also have to do any necessary 3.5-to-Pathfinder conversion.

A series of support articles for the Age of Worms was published in Dragon magazine. Like Dungeon, they should be available through Paizo.

And don't forget to check the Age of Worms sub-forum here. It's still active (like the Shackled City and Savage Tide sub-forums), and friendly DMs will be all too happy to give you some advice. As Age of Worms was Paizo's second adventure path, they hadn't quite ironed out the process. Therefore, communicating with other DMs is a good way to learn of possible pitfalls in running the AP, and ways to get around such problems.

EDIT: Ninja'ed! :)

I will tell you that IMHO it is the most difficult AP published for 3.5, and it will take some work converting the custom made higher level monsters. It is fun though. I have converted remade some of them, and I am sure others have also so if you need a quick PF version of a certain villain feel free to ask.

Considering that Undead are the monster type that underwent the biggest change in Pathfinder from 3.5 (HD change, Cha bonus to hp and Fort, critical/sneak immunity removed), AoW might take some more conversion work.

I'd wait for Carrion Crown - vampires, werewolves and liches seem to be strong themes there.
