Blade Runner was set in 2019. My car gets no lift, none at all. I'm looking for more.

Not sure why you had to ask me this but I suppose I should tell.

You see we have experimented heavily with flying cars and have found them very detrimental to life.

It seems not everyone is prepared to have the choice of up,down, left, right etc.. The redneck boy we let test drive dumped all of his friends out of the back while trying to go mudding while flying.

The other experiments were no better.

In fact of every person we let test drive only one group seemed to be capable of surviving. It seems that anyone over the age of 70 doesn't drive fast enough even in the air to really cause a problem. (There were a few exceptions who flew too high and crashed.)

Therefore, for the benefit of humanity we have decided to pursue teleportation instead.

I will update you on that in 100 years.

They got the dates wrong back in 1981. It was supposed to be in 2049. So just a few more years and you can get murdered by an off world hit squad and hear about Attack Ships off of Orion and tears in the rain, etc.
