Death and Disease

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

During my last unsuccessful adventure I contracted Filth Fever and Mummy Rot. Not to worry though because I was later crushed and killed by a Demon.

Now my pals are taking me back to civilization to be raised from the dead.

My questions -

Now that I have gained the "dead" condition, what happens to my filth fever? I assume it does not go away but festers on my bloated corpse. Would I just have it removed after I am raised?

Second question - It will take a week to get back to a city. What happens to my mummy rot? Do I turn to dust before I get there or does it stop because I am already dead?

Thanks for the help. I will try to be more careful next time.

I would think the Mummy rot would be a big problem, because ya your dust man.

On the other hand, i see no reason why your body could not get the spell
Remove curse + Cure disease to remove the mummy rot, as soon as possible to remove those effect.

After all, Disease and curse still are working on your dead body.. so you should still be able to have them removed before getting raised.

1) Filth Fever's gone when you're raised.

2) The desc. of ability damage says 'the phrase equals or exceeds the ability score'.

Which implies that you can take damage past 0.

But there's no specific ruling for this unfortunately.
