Hello friends,
I am in an interesting situation. I rolled up a character for a friends campaign, and well....i rolled really high. I have the freedom to put the stats anywhere I want. My problem is, I want to make a character that makes use of such epic stats. So, please post ideas for multiple-high stat characters.
For reference, the stats from highest to lowest are 18,17,16,15,14,14
Thanks,
The Swish

Any character can benefit from lots of high stats. you can be versatile and do anything you want. If I were handed those numbers and asked what I've wanted to paly that always seems to demand high scores, I'd say a paladin with more skills and not having to choose between fighting and the social aspects of the character. I might consider a fiend-blooded sorcerer and make use of those claws. I might look at prestige classes that combine concepts, like edlritch Knight, and really rock both ends of that combo.
Alchemists have INSANE ability scores, so startnig really high means keeping high mental scores even when you use your mutagen. The Master Chymyst looks like a lot of fun to me, and makes great use of those scores. Also, the cavalier with the taunting and challenge abilities, and the inquisitor needs a few different high stats.
Maybe just play an arcane archer with hit points and a little extra damage on that composite bow.
See? Anything!

Last time I actually played myself, I had stats almost as good, and went for a monk/druid. This used the old 3.5E shapechange variant, that's pretty close to the current wild shape PF rules… I'm not sure how much synergy there is within the current rules (i.e. what remains from your monk bonuses/feats), but it certainly was fun.
I'd recommend some multi-role character, instead of going for a straight fighter or full-caster.
Build your own PF hexblade, with a Witch/Ranger multiclass.
Go back to the old figher/magic-user/thief with a Fighter/Wizard/EK (thief role is done with your many skill points, possibly with the help of a focus feat or some neat traits).
Go straight paladin. A clever fighter for justice and leader of man has a need for all attributes.
Definitely do something where you stand in front of the party, to showboat your epic heroic-tude. No archers or (de-)buffers…

3 Rogue ( evasion class skills )
3 Paladin ( Divine Grase Fear Immunity )
14 Figther ( Damage )
Str 18 ( +1 levels 8, 12, 16, & 20 )
Dex 17
Con 16
Int 14
Wis 14
Cha 15 ( +1 level 4 )
With a 14 Int you can keap 4 skills maxed out.

UMD
Human/Elf ( Acrobatics )
Utilatank : melee damage , Traps , Evasion, Paly Saves.

Before I make my suggestion I will say a few things. Obviously you have nothing in your mind about the character you want to play, a thing that's too bad because you will not have something to connect to your character.(best characters are those who you are really interested in ROLE-PLAYING, plain stats mean nothing from my experience). With these stats you could play any class you want but have in mind that some classes -like fighter,wizard,sorcerer,druid- could easily be played with much lower stats. So i recommend a class who really needs those awesome stats you rolled.
1)full class rogue or full class monk or full class bard
2)rogue/red mantis assassin or fighter/red mantis assassin
3)rogue/assassin or a bard/red dragon disciple
4)any multiclassing option
Have fun

Anyone view those stat rolls? Hate to be a buzzkill here but be prepared to go to war to keep those rolls when you show up and everyone else has stats much lower. Thats a 57 point buy quite the array to be sure.
Back to the question, I would go monk. If ever there was a good time to play one those stats will make an awesome monk. Also bard but I love them and make them all the time.

I had a stat array like that once. Everyone else was a good bit lower than me. I told the DM "If you let me keep these stats, I will play a venerable character with as few useful class traits as possible."
I then made a venerable elf (that's -8 to con) water shugenja (3.5 class, this particular archetype of it was capable of very few direct effects, and was mostly a healer).
Sadly his possession of knowledge (all) and a decent bit of bluff made him a pretty good character compared to the rest anyway, but at least people had fun playing with him.
His stats (after age/race mods) were something like 10, 12, 8, 20+, 20+, 20+. (They broke 20 because they started at 18 and had +3 from age).
If you did this and assigned the biggest numbers to physical stats you would have an array of 12,11,10,18,17,17. With little going for you on the physical side you'd have to get creative. Playing a cleric would be good if you use this setup:
Venerable Dwarf Cleric. Stats of 12, 11, 12, 17, 19, 15. Focuses on casting and some on channeling. Smart enough to have a lot of skills (explained through old age).

He makes a good point about fighting for those rolls. Last character I rolled up had a 16, 17, 14, 16, 13, 15. Not quite as good, but seriously higher that the other players. Having such high numbers for some stats didn't fit into my concept, so I voluntarily dropped a couple enough to lower the bonus by one each. I did this so the other guys weren't so far behind. Well, that and the GM thought I should tone it back a bit. I still had to take a RP based detriment. I'm now hunted as an outlaw in my homeland as well, just to balance everything out.
You want to have good stats, but you don't want the other players to resent you for them, or you may find yourself playing alone. (ok, that's an extreme, but i hope you see the point). Party balance is important, and those stats may just outshine everyone else. Just my 2 cp
edit:pretty much what stabbity just said. Oh, and play whatever the hell you want to. You can do just about anything you want. Take the time to make an interesting character, one that is fun to play, with maybe a few drawbacks, like stabbity.

Congrats on lucky rolling. I am currently playing a character with those kind of stats (I rolled them in front of everyone...of course no one cares because once we get into battle I miss all the darn time anyway...)
I would suggest multiclassing, with stats that high, you can have perform a primary and secondary role in a party, and be decent at both of those roles (unlike most other characters)
I would suggest staying away from Paladin. I know...I know, Paladin is [sarcasm]THE BEST CLASS IN PATHFINDER!!!1!11![/sarcasm]. But that is a bit of the point. Paladins are already strong, if you add those stats to the paladin, there is a good chance that you will make everyone else at the table feel a bit...lackluster.
Telling you what to play is a different story however. Without an idea of what role(s) you are looking to fill in a party, everyone on here can give you a list of characters that are great, but aren't anywhere near what you want to play.
So what do you want your "demi-god" to do? ;)

A player in my group had a similar issue: using my dice, she rolled (in front of everyone) 18, 18, 17, 16, 16, 16.
She decided to play a paladin; without a doubt, she's one of the scariest paladins I've seen played.
I'd go with something that's challenging to play under normal circumstances, such as a monk.
