But what if no one reads it?

It isn't about turning in a publishable novel in 30-days. It's about committing the regular time to write, whether you are inspired or not. It's about training your brain to make a habit thinking as a writer and to learn to summon prose on command. It's about getting over the hump, of believing in yourself and then following through.

Even the most talented writers need the experience learning and honing their craft. You need to learn the rules of writing so you can know why they are rules and when you should bend/break them.

You can do it, CJ!

I have done it, just 20+ years ago.

+1!

Shift: Election Weekend hasn't been selling like condoms on Prom Night, but for once in my life I finished something. I didn't finish my Bachelor's in Law Enforcement (can't find a cop that loves his job); I didn't stay at a good paying job because I felt like crap daily; and I didn't stay in a relationship because I saw the end game being more pain than what it is worth (cheating whore).

But for once in my life I actually did something and have proof that it can be done.

And I'm writing more for my enjoyment than anything else.
