A very quick warning about a new pc virus

ok folks I don't know if this is old news or what but I have just encountered a new virus called ThinkPoint.
It shows up on your screen saying your PC has been infected and tells you to click on it to remove them, by doing so you infect your machine.
I know that it removes the .dat files in the anti-virus software so a full uninstall,reboot and reinstall is needed.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I didn't want anyone here to get hit when a little warning goes along way. Be warned this virus is nasty.

There are actually several like this one. They are not new. Your best bet is just to keep aware of them and ignore strange stuff asking for money.
