Am I that jaded? Nothing on that scale (as shown in the article) made me even remotely shudder.

I think we need a Logue scale.

It's a necklace with half a dozen cages containing pixies that get to shriek and wail. You can avoid damage by redirecting it to one a pixie, and that pixie will then be killed in an explosion of blood.

Ah, the Pett Scale ... I have to say it's aptly named after the most deranged module author ever. I just loved the writing in 'Carrion Hill', but obviously the man (thing?) is mad as a hatter...
