a spot to have players and dm's put what they would want or are thinking about doing after the last adventure in the kingmaker adventure path. examples
my players want to take control of the river kingdoms, so I have put together some army's and events for each of the small kingdom's based on what they players do. if they attack dagger mark then there will be many assassins after them for some time.
also if you find your game falling off the adventure path for some reason or another this is an area to get ideas from, i hope.

I intend the module Witchwar Legacy to be the capstone adventure for them as retired adventures - leaders of their kingdom, needing to don their armor one last time

I was thinking the Witchwar Legacy as well (thematically appropriate for my game, with Witches n' all). That being said, presuming I get that far, I was thinking of advancing the Kingdom 15 years & starting over with the next generation picking up the reigns at 1st level, maybe adapting/relocating another adventure path to liven up their lives.

I was ALSO thinking of the Witchwar Legacy AND continuing the campaign with a new adventure path and the next generation!
Grendel, are you me from another point in the timeline?

Possible - I am a proponent of temporal paradoxes and the abuse of cloning technologies.

I don't know what our GM intends for after we wrap up the AP, but I know that my cleric of Sarenrae has taken quite a shinning to Pitax. Hoping to become Queen and surround myself with progressive thinking individuals and founding a good kingdom. My own party is a bit too... mercenary for my tastes.

I too was thinking I would like to start a new campaign using their kingdom in the river kingdoms as the basis for it
Instead of a "new generation" of heroes within the ruling caste, I would just simply use their current PCs as now NPC rulers of the kingdom.
It would also make NPCs and locations easier to generate - since they'll be the some ones from the previous campaign.
However, my next AP I intend to run will be the one following Serpent's Skull with the Ravenloft appeal; so I don't think it will work so well for the next one.

I, however, cannot use Witchwar Legacy since the GM of our rapidly concluding Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign will be a player in my very soon coming Kingmaker campaign. So I am looking into
either a) let my players do what they want and improv or b) have a war between Brevoy and the player's nation. But I plan to prepare for the latter and write up material for any GM that needs assistance.

What I don't understand is why does your GM running Crimson Throne mutually excludes the ability from you using the Witchwar Legacy module?
We had a wonderful conclusion to CotCT; thanks to my GM being very open minded towards allowing our character to really shape the campaign. He rolled with our desires and didn't railroad us unnecessarily in accordance to the story plot, and truly allowed us to try things and gave us room to let those ideas flourish.
I have to to say that in 25+ years of gaming, it was THE most memorable and fantastic ending to a campaign I've ever been a player in.
Enjoy.

Sorry, I didn't exactly finish that sentence did I. The GM of our current campaign has the Witchwar Legacy and has already looked through the whole thing. Infact when I was leafing through it, I was told to not look at X monster because the GM swapped it inplace of some other monster in the campaign.

Odds are our group won't find out how its suppose to end.
We failed to kill off some Devils in Castle Korvosa, so they have no joined with the Queen, making the encounters there that much harder. They looked difficult before. The GM is betting on a TPK finish at this point.
